It actually works my phone fell in a bucket of water by accident not sure how long its been in there and its still working in fact this is the phone im typing my review of it on
I somehow doubt if it is fully waterproof. I speak from experience. Not on this particular model, though I now have it. More the Phoenix 3 and 4. They're better than the older phones where if you did the embarrassing it fell in the toilet it was instant death. I even killed an older phone I believe by spilling just a little bit of Mt. Dew on the screen. But one of the older models, yep, oops I dropped it in the toilet. Gross and embarrassing. I may not have dropped it it may have slid off the top into the bowl but regardless. Anyway, the screen was fine and I could navigate and make phone calls as memory serves. But the volume setting would randomly go up and down on its own and I got the symbol that headphones were attached to the phone even though of course they weren't. Eventually I replaced the phone. These MIGHT be salvageable if you dry it ASAP as thoroughly as possible. Not just the screen but the inner parts of the phone. Disadvantage to this model is there is no removable back/battery. Probably shoot some canned/compressed air in and hope for the best. Don't know about the rubbing alcohol trick with this one.
lol no. dropped this in water and my cameras all went out and the lcd was flipping out. phone works fine after taking it apart and using alcohol but still. this thing isn't sealed at all and water will just collect on the pcbs and connectors.
Well I dropped mine in the water and it stayed on for a few and then the screen turned black and then after a few hours it came on again then back off why
That a lie. No offense speaking from experience mine fell in water for like a couple of seconds, the screen is like glitching like crazy and the buttons don't work so well it pressing by its self and it not making any sound at all...

how exactly did you apply the alcohol?
@@lj6595 used a brand new tooth brush, dipped it in alcohol, shook off the excess and cleaned all visible portions of the mainboard
