The mouthpiece could have fallen out during the performance. It does happen. Please who don't play wind instruments don't understand.
I played snare and dropped plenty of sticks during practice but not during the show.

She did great by continuing to perform. She was still marching, sounding off and that horn was still swinging.

Come on band head now I’m a Bama State Hornet for life but I got to take up for ole girl. They did a lot of moving in that dance feature. Her mouthpiece very well could have came off on the floor somewhere.
That is true, I've a mouthpiece fly off and hit my drum cause they flipped the horns up so hard it flew off

At this point, I'm tired of the excuses because if TXSU and Alabama State did a drill with their numbers why can't AAMU. Sounds lazy AF to me. Don't be complaining about wanting to be a top band but you can't keep up.
