Just did this to my windows. Very satisfying to clean away mold, dust, reseal, rehandle, lubricate hinges, wash curtains. We left some of them unmaintained for like 20 years
hi, thanks for the video. i have a question, in video at 1:56 seconds there is a black plastic piece in the corner, in my window that piece has worn out and is allowing a draft. do you know what it is called and would you know where i could buy one of them from? thank you
You can get an Allen key and a pair of grips you slide it at the bottom and try pull the roller to the open position with the hwndle in the open position

You're awesome!!!
Thank you, I`m glad it was useful
Manufacturer instructions on my windows said to a regular oil like 3in1 and not WD40.
Then I would do that Steve. I hope you sort the issue, thanks for watching.
What happens if you can’t open the window? Mine seems seized

Personally I open the lock using the handle and then give it a good shove, it usually does the trick, just be sure to push the frame not the window.
Never ever use WD 40 on a upvc window mechanism, it attracts dirt and dries, silicone lubricant spray or 3in1 oil should be used.
Thanks for the tip
Flomasta Silicone Spray is what I use
