I met my Russian wife of 20 years in America…we recently decided to move to Russia and started the RVP process. I studied hard(!) and passed the language, history and law exam (whew 😅) just two months ago!!! I guess timing is everything, but I’m thankful that I am where I am at this point. 4th generation Canadian here with Russian heritage and some Russian language skills. I have been playing with the idea of leaving Canada and this looks interesting.
Canadians generally feel good in Russia. You can choose a climate that will be similar to the Canadian one. You know frosts, winter roads and icy cars. The people of the southern countries are very limited in their choice. The south of Russia is similar to northern France. It's a lot of fun when an Italian is afraid to drive a car in the north of Russia in winter!

I am an Aussie working in Moscow ( since 2016). I went back to Australia just recently…first time in 5 years…and was so shocked at the changes. I stayed only 3 weeks and was ecstatic to return to Russia.
Australia has the most draconian laws for personal encryption, actually it is outlawed to have your personal devices encrypted in Australia. Many cryptocurrency enthusiasts refuse to visit Australia as they would certainly break the law doing so. In Russia it is not illegal to have your personal devices encrypted, and you are not obligated to decrypt them even if you are under arrest, it is covered by the article 51 of the constitution - A Russian citizen is not obliged to testify against himself.

In my university, there was a guy who came from Togo. He has been learning Russian for 6 months by the time when the scholarship started. It was hard for him, but he became a regular in our parties and after a year he had zero language problems. Sure, he sounded like a foreigner and sometimes lacked precise words, but he was communicating without any problems

I'm an American who's lived in St Pete since before covid. It's been difficult because it's not legal for me to have a job, outside of English tutor. I have an Engineering degree and a skillset useful for a particular manufacturing sector in Russia. I will be SO HAPPY if this leads to getting permanent residency and a right to work, in a sane and healthy society.

Ну, я думаю, будет удобно для тех людей, которые, например, боятся за своих детей и им срочно нужно переехать. За 3 года можно будет хоть как-то обустроиться в России и выучить русский язык, хотя бы минимально. Среди носителей русского языка будет даже удобнее выучить, чем где-то удалённо среди другого языка. Конечно, я бы ещё добавил, если кто-то переезжает по этому закону, то можно было выделить им места в какой-нибудь школе, где им бы помогали освоить русский язык.🤔
@@satori7888 Cмотря с чем сравнивать. Русский проще японского, а разговорный японский не очень сложный. Про алфавит и говорить нечего. Что кириллица, что латиница - самые лёгкие алфавиты в мире, за 30 минут выучить можно, как и греческий, от которого они произошли. Китайский разговорный сложнее во много раз, про письменность и говорить нечего, а есть языки сложнее китайского в разы, в которых тонов на порядок больше. Да и тот же венгерский сложнее русского. Уже хотя бы тем, что он "инопланетный" по отношению к языковым группам соседних стран. Для того, чтобы спросить как куда-то пройти, попросить товар в магазине и прочих каждодневных мелочей русский можно выучить за год, как и английский или немецкий. Вот чтобы быть грамотным и написать рассказ, например - тут нужно довольно много лет.

С одной стороны - на Западе много людей не согласных с культурной деградацией своих стран, с другой стороны - в России огромные территории и потенциал, который нам россиянам с такой малой численностью нереально освоить и развить. Решение напрашивается само собой. P.S. Насчет языка. Мы дружим с одной семьей российских немцев. Прекрасные люди живут в "немецкой" деревне, уже лет 300 в России. Так вот, старшее поколение говорит по-русски с акцентом! Это так мило. Столетия люди сохраняют свой язык и культуру, но при этом они "настоящие россияне". Понятия "куалитэт" и "орднунг" тоже не утеряли!
Решение стать нац. меньшинством в собственной стране? Это будет уже не Россия, посмотрите на Британию, такого будущего нужно нам? С США сравнивать не нужно, потому что это изначально страна мигрантов, там культурный код другой.

сейчас в Шереметьево же хорошо фильтруют ребят из соседней страны. Очень внимательно и досконально, не редкость когда заворачивают семьями обратно, со слезами и истериками. Думаю тут надо тоже внимательно изучать каждую семью, и проверять бегут ли они по настоящему от ювеналки и противостояния традиционные-либеральные ценности.
Дело не в Законах. Справедливость выше закона. База качественного отсева - это добросовестные люди с определёнными этическими нормами на условной границе. Можно из прижившихся у нас иммигрантов создать стандартный совет при президенте по этим вопросам. Сто процентов они всякую фигню сюда не пустят.
Тут дело в том, что только в определенных странах есть то, от чего у нас предполагается давать убежище. И это - главный фильтр. То есть из азии или других регионов люди не смогут воспользоваться данным видом убежища. Я именно этот критерий сам предлагал под каким-то видео. Нужен такой умный критерий, чтобы и нужных людей выбрать и избежать обвинений в дискриминациях на разных почвах. И это как раз тот самый критерий.

In April I had just returned home at 4 am from all night dancing in a club and taken a shower then laid down and suddenly has sharp paid left upper chest, my Russian GF called an ambulance and 5 minutes later they had me wired up for EKG and concluded I need get to the heart specialty hospital 1.2km from my city center apartment. I was immediately put on monitoring after MRI and the pain lessened. I stayed in the cardiac hospital 10 and released me saying that it was a mild heart attack due to one artery being 42% blocked. They set up an appointment as a Cardiac special hospital 2 blocks walk from my home and given a very thorough interview and additional tests, tread mill etc and strapped on a wearable EKG and sent me home. I was feeling fine and all the tests confirms the 42% blockage. I am not on their universal health care system so I had to pay for that appointment that lasted 2 hours of tests.A nutritionest contacted me my phone and set up am appointment on line She gave me a list of foods to cut out and what to stress...no sugar, no processed meats limit to 3 beers a week..one more than I usually drink and a lot of healthy good to eat. I did as suggested and the heart clinic told me to returm to see if the advice was working I still felt fine but went and the new tests showed a 18% blockage. Total out of pocket for 3 visits, 10 days in the cardiac specialty hospital and 2 MRI(I did not mind that since the tech doing it was a super cute 20something girl was owner of the sweetest voice I think I ever heard. I asked if she sang and she did and she was amazing. I recorded major albums in my California recording studio complex with 197 gold and platinum albums for people like Whitney Houston. Heart( the Wilson Sisters), Aretha Franklin, and male singers such as Steve Perry, John Fogerty, Huey Lewis Steve Wonder, Jethro Tull BB King, Prince, Metallica Santana, and many more, co-wrote and recorded in 3 days the songs for the hit movie Back to the Future...chart topping hits, and 2with at least one song in the top 10 Billboard Charts every week for 3.5 years in the late 70s and 80s), she was that good andwe exchanged contact info and I talked the owner of the most popular jazz club to hire her. So now months later the total cost for all the medical services was approximately $40. In the US that would have been $150,000 I changed my diet completely and have discovered that cooking is fun and easier only fresh unprocessed foods. I returned to the gym 3 days a well feel better and stronger than before the heart attack.

Countryside Acres' adventure has been amazing. I've watched a few of their videos (not all of them, admittedly), and I'm glad Russia has sensed this need from genuine people with goodness in their hearts. Russia could be a real sanctuary for a lot of us in the West as a perverse tyranny settles over it. Hello there! I have been in Russia for 22 years now and got my Russian citizenship about 3 years ago. They actually started relaxing the migration laws about 5 years ago. A small change here or there over time steadily made the process easier. I went through all the processes regardless. Truth be told, Russia wasn’t really a country setup to take immigrants from the west. However, now it’s much easier and the process simplified. From my experience, make sure you have every document you need and make sure you know exactly how to fill each one out because they are quite meticulous at the migration center and can easily send you packing over mistranslated words and or spelling errors. They do their job well.

It is just a good feeling for me personally to know that I can flee at any time from this madhouse. I would do it in a heartbeat but I am over 60 already and I am not alone to decide. I would love to start a business in Russia because I still feel very young and fit, but of course I would not want to have to move again when I am 80 or so. I started to learn the language just because I think it might be useful in the future. To me, it is logical and absolutely necessary to at least understand the language when you move abroad. The question is, after how long are you allowed to buy some property in Russia? I understand there is some questionable issues with that, because Russia needs to be cautious that foreigners do not ruin the housing market for Russians. It is happening in Hungary at the moment, because many westerners move there and the housing prices go up which makes it impossible for the locals to buy property. You don't need to know the Russian language before receiving the temporary residency. You have 3 years once you get that.

I met my Russian wife of 20 years in America…we recently decided to move to Russia and started the RVP process. I studied hard(!) and passed the language, history and law exam (whew 😅) just two months ago!!! I guess timing is everything, but I’m thankful that I am where I am at this point. 4th generation Canadian here with Russian heritage and some Russian language skills. I have been playing with the idea of leaving Canada and this looks interesting.
If I were you, I wouldn't think about it. At least you know exactly WHERE you are going and what might await you there (+ knowledge of the language)
Canadians generally feel good in Russia. You can choose a climate that will be similar to the Canadian one. You know frosts, winter roads and icy cars.
The people of the southern countries are very limited in their choice. The south of Russia is similar to northern France. It's a lot of fun when an Italian is afraid to drive a car in the north of Russia in winter!

Хоть я и не иностранец, но все равно взволнован и нахожусь в каком-то предвкушении, что ли. Если все заработает и будет действительно поток желающих, то, возможно (боюсь сглазить), мы не видели такого со времен Екатерины, а то и Петра. Когда талантливые европейцы стекались в Россию, основывали здесь свои династии, строили мануфактуры, архитекторы возводили дворцы, а полководцы защищали рубежи. В общем, мало кто из европейцев сейчас вспомнит, что Россия и её культура это общее наше наследие и всей Европы. Взгляните хоть на Петербург. Но я что-то ударился в излишний пафос.😅

I am an Aussie working in Moscow ( since 2016). I went back to Australia just recently…first time in 5 years…and was so shocked at the changes. I stayed only 3 weeks and was ecstatic to return to Russia.

In my university, there was a guy who came from Togo. He has been learning Russian for 6 months by the time when the scholarship started. It was hard for him, but he became a regular in our parties and after a year he had zero language problems. Sure, he sounded like a foreigner and sometimes lacked precise words, but he was communicating without any problems

I have an Engineering degree and a skillset useful for a particular manufacturing sector in Russia. За 3 года можно будет хоть как-то обустроиться в России и выучить русский язык, хотя бы минимально. Среди носителей русского языка будет даже удобнее выучить, чем где-то удалённо среди другого языка. Конечно, я бы ещё добавил, если кто-то переезжает по этому закону, то можно было выделить им места в какой-нибудь школе, где им бы помогали освоить русский язык.🤔
Если они хотят потом получить ВНЖ они должны сами изучать язык. За 3 года получается, а если е него нет желания изучать тогда зачем он приехал

@@satori7888 Cмотря с чем сравнивать. Русский проще японского, а разговорный японский не очень сложный. Про алфавит и говорить нечего. Что кириллица, что латиница - самые лёгкие алфавиты в мире, за 30 минут выучить можно, как и греческий, от которого они произошли. Китайский разговорный сложнее во много раз, про письменность и говорить нечего, а есть языки сложнее китайского в разы, в которых тонов на порядок больше.
Да и тот же венгерский сложнее русского. Уже хотя бы тем, что он "инопланетный" по отношению к языковым группам соседних стран. Для того, чтобы спросить как куда-то пройти, попросить товар в магазине и прочих каждодневных мелочей русский можно выучить за год, как и английский или немецкий. Вот чтобы быть грамотным и написать рассказ, например - тут нужно довольно много лет.

Наконец то! Я уже несколько лет возмущаюсь - почему в Россию трудно переехать адекватным, грамотным работящим людям? С одной стороны - на Западе много людей не согласных с культурной деградацией своих стран, с другой стороны - в России огромные территории и потенциал, который нам россиянам с такой малой численностью нереально освоить и развить. Решение напрашивается само собой. P.S. Насчет языка. Мы дружим с одной семьей российских немцев. Прекрасные люди живут в "немецкой" деревне, уже лет 300 в России. Так вот, старшее поколение говорит по-русски с акцентом! Это так мило. Столетия люди сохраняют свой язык и культуру, но при этом они "настоящие россияне". Понятия "куалитэт" и "орднунг" тоже не утеряли!
Решение стать нац. меньшинством в собственной стране? Это будет уже не Россия, посмотрите на Британию, такого будущего нужно нам?
С США сравнивать не нужно, потому что это изначально страна мигрантов, там культурный код другой.

сейчас в Шереметьево же хорошо фильтруют ребят из соседней страны. Очень внимательно и досконально, не редкость когда заворачивают семьями обратно, со слезами и истериками. Думаю тут надо тоже внимательно изучать каждую семью, и проверять бегут ли они по настоящему от ювеналки и противостояния традиционные-либеральные ценности.
Дело не в Законах. Справедливость выше закона. База качественного отсева - это добросовестные люди с определёнными этическими нормами на условной границе. Можно из прижившихся у нас иммигрантов создать стандартный совет при президенте по этим вопросам. Сто процентов они всякую фигню сюда не пустят.
Тут дело в том, что только в определенных странах есть то, от чего у нас предполагается давать убежище. И это - главный фильтр. То есть из азии или других регионов люди не смогут воспользоваться данным видом убежища. Я именно этот критерий сам предлагал под каким-то видео. Нужен такой умный критерий, чтобы и нужных людей выбрать и избежать обвинений в дискриминациях на разных почвах. И это как раз тот самый критерий.
Вообще в Азии нет разврата, ,им зачем ехать к нам...пусть там жи живут .здесь им детские платят там нет ,вот и летят к нам, со своими правилами.. хотя не надр бы..

UK to start. I suspect retirees who really struggle with low retirement and exploding prices wil be first in line. Health care will be a big issue
Health care is an important subject- here in Canada I pay crazy high taxes and no real access to Healthcare unless willing to wait 10+ hours in a hospital emergency waiting room.

At least here in St Petersburg the heal care system is really good. In April I had just returned home at 4 am from all night dancing in a club and taken a shower then laid down and suddenly has sharp paid left upper chest, my Russian GF called an ambulance and 5 minutes later they had me wired up for EKG and concluded I need get to the heart specialty hospital 1.2km from my city center apartment. I was immediately put on monitoring after MRI and the pain lessened. I stayed in the cardiac hospital 10 and released me saying that it was a mild heart attack due to one artery being 42% blocked. They set up an appointment as a Cardiac special hospital 2 blocks walk from my home and given a very thorough interview and additional tests, tread mill etc and strapped on a wearable EKG and sent me home. I was feeling fine and all the tests confirms the 42% blockage. I am not on their universal health care system so I had to pay for that appointment that lasted 2 hours of tests.A nutritionest contacted me my phone and set up am appointment on line She gave me a list of foods to cut out and what to stress...no sugar, no processed meats limit to 3 beers a week..one more than I usually drink and a lot of healthy good to eat. I did as suggested and the heart clinic told me to returm to see if the advice was working I still felt fine but went and the new tests showed a 18% blockage. Total out of pocket for 3 visits, 10 days in the cardiac specialty hospital and 2 MRI(I did not mind that since the tech doing it was a super cute 20something girl was owner of the sweetest voice I think I ever heard. I asked if she sang and she did and she was amazing. I recorded major albums in my California recording studio complex with 197 gold and platinum albums for people like Whitney Houston. Heart( the Wilson Sisters), Aretha Franklin, and male singers such as Steve Perry, John Fogerty, Huey Lewis Steve Wonder, Jethro Tull BB King, Prince, Metallica Santana, and many more, co-wrote and recorded in 3 days the songs for the hit movie Back to the Future...chart topping hits, and 2with at least one song in the top 10 Billboard Charts every week for 3.5 years in the late 70s and 80s), she was that good andwe exchanged contact info and I talked the owner of the most popular jazz club to hire her. So now months later the total cost for all the medical services was approximately $40. In the US that would have been $150,000

Countryside Acres' adventure has been amazing. I've watched a few of their videos (not all of them, admittedly), and I'm glad Russia has sensed this need from genuine people with goodness in their hearts. Russia could be a real sanctuary for a lot of us in the West as a perverse tyranny settles over it. I watched Canada with horror during the "trucker protests", as bank accounts of regular folk were frozen as they tried to protest. I had a similar feeling of horror from the UK after Starmer was elected and everyday folk were labelled "far-right" for having the temerity to protest.

Hello there! I have been in Russia for 22 years now and got my Russian citizenship about 3 years ago. They actually started relaxing the migration laws about 5 years ago. A small change here or there over time steadily made the process easier. I went through all the processes regardless. Truth be told, Russia wasn’t really a country setup to take immigrants from the west. However, now it’s much easier and the process simplified. From my experience, make sure you have every document you need and make sure you know exactly how to fill each one out because they are quite meticulous at the migration center and can easily send you packing over mistranslated words and or spelling errors. They do their job well.

Language should be mandatory for permanent residency not for 3 year temporary because you actually need time for learning the language

It is just a good feeling for me personally to know that I can flee at any time from this madhouse. I would do it in a heartbeat but I am over 60 already and I am not alone to decide. I would love to start a business in Russia because I still feel very young and fit, but of course I would not want to have to move again when I am 80 or so. I started to learn the language just because I think it might be useful in the future. To me, it is logical and absolutely necessary to at least understand the language when you move abroad. The question is, after how long are you allowed to buy some property in Russia? I understand there is some questionable issues with that, because Russia needs to be cautious that foreigners do not ruin the housing market for Russians. It is happening in Hungary at the moment, because many westerners move there and the housing prices go up which makes it impossible for the locals to buy property. Hopefully, there will be special services set up by Russia in order to help foreigners who want to move there. Lots of love from Absurdistan, formerly known as Germany.
