Just stunning Automotive Art. Complete respect to all builds, the workmanship, the individuality, and the hours of graft. 😆 great to see, thanks for posting.
0:18 Pizza Wagon was owned by Bob Shoonhoven, but it was designed by Ed Newton and built by Dan Woods with Brasswork by Jim Babbs. 1:09 Turnpike hauler was indeed designed by Ed Newton, but Dan Woods was the builder. Contrary to what the vid states, Woods proudly stated that Turnpike Hauler was fully functional when first made. I think it was Barris (who laid claim to it) that disabled it and it was Dave Shuten who got it running again. 7:08 Thats's Dave Shuten's Mysterion clone. The original was destroyed decades ago and Shuten built this accurate recreation. Great video and I appreciate the facts can be murky on some of these old show cars.
Although I was not a huge fan of the Pink Panther cartoon, I loved that car. Got to see it at a car show when I was a kid back in 69/70 era. I think I saw the Monkee Mobile at the same show, but that was eons ago, and I can't remember what all I saw there.
oh my gosh - the cars of my youth as seen in my monthly Hot Rod, Car Craft and Rod and Custom magazines! What a treat! Bless Big Daddy Roth and George Barris. Amazing to see the Monkee Mobile again - shame about the band, tho'.
that's not the original Dragula. That's one of several copies that were made after the TV show. If you want to see the original in action, watch the movie "Munsters Go Home"
Fun trivia: The original interior of the Mysterion was mink fur (don't know if it still is) and the inside of the gas cap door was also fur. Because details matter! 😂
When I first saw the cars on the "10 Most Famous Vintage Hot Rods Cars That Definitely Steal The Show" I though that they looked like cars the Hot Wheels would or have made. I would think they may have the original Batmobile (the one where Adam West played Batman/ Bruce Wayne)
i totally respect the craftsmanship and dedication it takes to build these things, but other than how good the engines sound, for the most part they just look ridiculous to me. especially that Panthermobile abomination.
I met George at a car show in 1998 and asked him about "Dragula" first George said it was just a Hollywood contract, and we're given design drawings ! the purchase order was 2 units ! first car was the show car version strictly used for series filming and advertising, the second car was the "runner" for racing and event advertising , George said this car was freaking dangerous to drive, to much power !
Glad to see Supervan made it. It was a wreck when I bought it but we did a deep dive into its history and restored it as its second incarnation as the star of Supervan the movie.
There's a story that when building Dragula, no funeral home would sell them a coffin- they ended up 'stealing' a coffin and leaving the money for it behind.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverodnung" in German :-((
The Monkeemobile was my favorite. That GTO was great.
I LOVE the Monkeemobile! And the interior layout is so practical! I'd daily drive a similarly custom GTO.😂
😊
How awesome to see the original Eddie monster Butch Patrick driving dragula.
Just stunning Automotive Art.

Back in the days when I was a kid I was huge fan of the pink panthermobile. Greetings from Germany ❤

I miss seeing the Ala cart.
I sure do miss the days when I would see these cars on TV. Many of them were and still are scale model kits.
Dragula is abit of fun, but that Panthermobile is so nicely built, it's a stunning vehicle that.
Like it or not, the most iconic car of all time is The Bat Mobile. I'm not saying it's the nicest of all, but certainly the most iconic.
The 60's were a crazy time
Paul Revere And The Raiders Coach
4:30 I don't like the oval bumperettes. That was a trip down memory lane.
Enjoyed!!! 🤜🤛
What I REALLY want to see is some old footage of the Raiders Coach in action. That was one freaky custom & seeing it drive would be epic.
I saw the car in Denver in the mid-80s at a pawn shop. It was not for sale
9:10 bonus vehicle: the Wagon Queen Family Truckster
You may think you hate it now, but wait til you drive it! 😁

3:13 - ‘A domed roof’ - Apparently an invisible one!
The pink car made me laugh🤣🤣🤣🤣
the red wrecker looks like a scary ride.
As a young lad i dreamed of being the boy that " drove off" in the pink panther when ever the show aired on the tv.
Wouah excellent 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I see luxury, art, rare, weird, and funny cars, but no design for safety. Thanks.
I did see the Monkeymobile at a Sydney motor show in the 1970s
..stole the show?😏💫
The little red record was supposed to be on the TV show Sanford and Son and never made the appearance

That pink thing....
Dragula was built by George Barris not Dick Dean Besides that was not the original dragula

You are not right. Dick was in the back working on it, George was out front in his gold jacket with his feet up- on the desk. Knew them both.
Glad to see Supervan made it. It was a wreck when I bought it but we did a deep dive into its history and restored it as its second incarnation as the star of Supervan the movie.
@@davidgrainger5994 yes I am right George designed it It was built in his shop I don't care who was working for him it was George's desighn

I've heard that too.
They paid cash up front and the funeral home left it out back at night to be "stolen"
2:24 Looks like Dark Wing Duck's sister went on Pimp My Ride.
No Munster coach ???
4:16- 4:19 There is is!
@@stevesparks2001 that`s not the Munster Coach, that was the dragster they built.
the coach was the big vehicle they all piled into .
had 🐒 🚗 Model! 😊
7 million copies of the monkey mobile. What am i missing? Is there a book about it or a video that sold that many copies?
Plastic model kits. Model Products Corporation, also known as MPC in the plastic model world.
Where's the Uncertain T
Love Machine is my favorite, then the Panthermobile. After that, meh. Thank you for sharing!!!!
I could see Dean Martin's Matt Helm being chauffeured around in the Panthermobile. More seductive than his Shaggin' Wagon.😂
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
На 1:15 - не хватает спинке у сиденья. А то так футболку может на ремень намотать
You need to turn phone other way better viewing auto rotate
I see you did
Real engines don’t have valve covers….FLAT HEADS….
Was a great video until the exit music it’s trash .
"most famous" shows us cars no one has ever seen

No they won’t. Complete and utter BS! (Comment reported to UA-cam for misinformation).
The Vacation Wagon didn't get a mention. It's got to be 'vintage' by now, it's 40+ years old.
Bro ... Beatnik bubbletop its a uglyest car i ever see in my life ....
CARRO ABSOLUTAMENTE RIDÍCULO !!!
