I just know Jason and Law were cutting their eyes at each other throughout this conversation lol ❤
I peeped that too
The women basically dismissing the two black stylists' experiences with discrimination but choosing to speak up when the "me too" topic came up is so hypocritical. Other than that, it was a great convo.
I peeped that
Came here to see if anyone else noticed that mess. I wish they would have just called it what it is. Tiptoeing is for the birds.
per usual.
mostly the blonde that kind of looks like Selma Blair
Totally🙄
It's the worst when the least interesting person dominates the conversation
Yes the blonde
Exactly 💯
I don’t like how the women spoke over Jason and Law and they don’t seem that receptive to what they were saying especially Law
Zendaya is a big testament to law's genius styling.
No shade because yes a lot of people can get it wrong but I feel like he got lucky. His client is a supermodel who is an actress...
@@nandezjl0211 thats what i thought as well. No shade to his amazing work. He hit the jackpot with someone like Zendaya who is going to be the nexg Hollywood Royalty.
@@trishabidesi8604 giving very grace Kelly vibes
Amé ❤
One of the best dressed actors in Hollywood. We can’t wait to see what Zendaya is going to wear to events.
Funny is Anna Taylor Joy is now Laws client (from the blonde that interrupts alot)
Ugh, I was getting so frustrated when the 3 women were trivializing and dismissing Jason and Law’s critiques re fashion houses and designers not wanting to dress their clients. It was a class issue but also a race issue and they kept making excuses an trying to invalidate them. Other than that, this was a good conversation.
Hi
AGREE
I agree!
Agree
🎯
I have learnt that the reality for the black community is different and these two stylist have done so well to not compromise with brands that dont believe in them. A no is a no for eternity period.
Law Roach is my new obsession.
I find it funny that Anya Taylor joy is illarias client and now she’s laws client lol
What Law has done with Zendaya is phenomenal. She is the red carpet QUEEN. Best dressed every single time.
Just seeing this- loved it. So informative.
I Really wish that Jason and Law could get their points out regarding the racism that is so blatant in the industry. Ilaria who kept interrupting is just awful - I wish she would shut up , listen and learn.
i love how white women can see gender discrimination but racial discrimination boggles their mind 😕
After watching this, it seem that not acknowledging stylists is like ignoring the role of a writer and/or director of a movie. This should be an ongoing series because style is pulling the threads of so many other topics.
Agree!
Great point.
Hate how whenever one of the black stylists had to something to share about their experiences with exclusion/discrimination, the others pretty much derailed and told them their experiences were invalid.
Thank you! I was looking for this comment. It seems like it was going over everyone's heads that they are talking about racial discrimination and not just designer's passing on their clients for having an opposing style or not being in a specific age range. Or they just don't care. It was driving me crazy.
Tasha T like the issue is so much bigger than clothes!
Tahzé Peoples The privilege was drippin through the entire convo! Smh
It will go over your head when you benefit from "white privilege" with an issue rooted in (systemic racism) ie. the annoying blonde constantly overtalking her peers. The old Guard and children of the 50s are responsible for this way of "thinking" in Hollywood and within the Modeling Industry and they are slowly dying off.
The youth of today are our future, THANKU.
they just kept talking over them in general! it was so frustrating
This was arguably one of the best roundtables....and I adore Jadon Bolden and Law Roach!!!! 💗💗💗
Me too.❤
Love this. Please do more stylist roundtables. I do agree with other commenters that the women were talking over Law and Jason's experiences with fashion houses especially Iliria.
Yea I hope THR sees this and maybe the other irritating women who didn’t even take the time to just listen . It was very disrespectful
Law Roach always eats!
$12,000 a month and they all laughed?! That's an amazing salary.
I wasn’t feeling Jeanne Yang’s energy in this interview. She kept throwing it off for me. Same with Ilaria Urbinati. Aside from them, this was a really cool and insightful interview.
Surprisingly good. As much as they wanted to speak more, I wanted to hear more. Its an industry I know nothing about.
I love how honest they are! They did an agents roundtable and it was so boring and restrained cause they were to afraid to talk about anything that could make anyone look bad. The agents went full on PR mode but here the stylist are like " Let me tell ya honey" haha Love it!
Illaria literally snatched all Jeane's points to build up on that and interrupted her through out
THEY NEED TO ADD A PART 2 TO THIS!
I know right. This is the most interesting round table I've watch.
Yes, let’s talk about the horrible Oscars and the Met gala.
And will someone PLEASE volunteer to dress Meghan Markle?!!!
Law Roach x Zendaya 🔥
I LOVE THAT GUY WITH GLASESS he needs to give biz coaching class or smth
That’s Law. He’s amazing!
Law Roach is a genius! Love me some him!
23:45 ....The Millenials are not buying the product on the runway... but the actual buyer is buying the " perception" of eternal Youth and freedom attached to it.
I would have loved at least another half an hour on this one, so interesting! Styling is such an underrated area, we critique fashion every day and yet know nothing of the struggle it can take to pull a look together. Please make next years longer!
I’m shocked designers wouldn’t dress Zendaya, then later wanting to
Mary J. Blige looked amazing in the green Elie Saab!
MAD respect to Black stylists and actors who, mostly, remain under-appreciated. tsktsksk
One of my favourite roundtables done to date!! interviewer is so well-educated and knowledgable about what’s she’s asking. So good
We need a followup or a series of this because this was so insightful.
The dismissive approach to Jason and Law made this cringeworthy.
Really interesting and insightful convo. I would've liked to have heard more from some of the other stylists without Ilaria interrupting.
Right 🙄
So annoying!!! Shut up and listen.
Omg! They are the unsung heroes of the red carpet.
Blonde lady with the hoop earrings is rude. Keeps interrupting and talking over everyone. The desire to establish herself as an expert too, and the insecurity are palpable.
I LOVE LAW! I’ve been following him for a minute. Loved his authenticity!!..
This was fabulous. I loved styling hollywood and was super diapppointed that it was only 1 season. More of this, but seriously a black woman stylist would be fantastic. Kudos o everyone in the comments calling out the dismissal of racism in who fashion houses choose to loan to. Don't call it a class issue. Cardi B gets loaned to by major houses and - no shade - she is not classy. Stunning, talented, hard-working, foul-method and genuine. Also - that number of houses that won't dress plus-sized people. Those stories about celebs crying when they get turned down smh. Don't act like fashion houses aren't super snobby and mean.
I wonder why no black women? June Ambrose would have been perfect for this. Jason and Law had some wonder points about inclusion but the girl next to Jason kept interrupting, UGH y’all go on and on about times up but can’t spend two seconds on racism and discrimination in the industry towards women and men of color. Because it makes a lot of what they complain about null and void. I wanted to hear more of Jason’ s Fantasy to dress people during the Harlem Renaissance but yet again they cut him off to talk about more white people they wanted to Dress.
AGREED!! Absolutely YES on all points.
Law and Jason are the only ones i find nice
Just binged Styling Hollywood - OBSESSED 😍
i wish they wouldn't talk over each other so much dang
4:00 "Keanue was the one". How'd they not catch that.
This was great but a little bit of constructive criticism here: I wish they also credited the designer/s in the celebrity photos considering how much they talked about branding for designers.
They usually post them themselves. Photos are sent to them for that exact reason.
This is a profession I've always been so fascinated by and have spent hours trawling articles about how their job works. So interesting to have them all sat down together!
This was one of my favourite episodes yet! Insightful, funny, fascinating and fabulous!
the talking over each other is driving me crazy lol
This was such a BOSS interview. So informative, so honest. Really appreciate how much everyone shared. (IT's youTube, you shoulda just kept going!)
Loved this conversation, but the blonde lady with the hoop earrings is doing ALL of the talking
Yes, she literally cut everyone off everytime they even THOUGHT about getting a word in 🙄
wow! what a lively conversation.
Wow this opened my eyes so much! More please!
This was one of the most entertaining and informative roundtables. Also, Law... one day I'm going to work with you. #genius
The women cutting the Black men off REPEATEDLY is so disrespectful and yet, expected. I did appreciate the conversation and knowledge. There is so much more work to be done re inclusion, in front and behind the scenes of fashion.
This is so fun. More, please!
Yes! I loved this.... I think this is sooo long overdue. Stylists and Art Directors are so often overlooked in the making of everything in Hollywood!
I loved this. Please do another stylist round table. I am glued to my screen and hanging on to every word. 💕
Wish this was at least an hour longer
The Asian lady and the blonde sitting next to Jason kept cutting everyone off.
Hope to see another one of these roundtables! This was great!!
This was one of the more interesting and insightful roundtables I've seen so far. More stylists please!
Great Roundtable! Yes, please add a Part 2! We want to hear more from them:)
We need more of this, this bring us a new perspective and its great.
I wish she didnt cut them off and would've let the conversation continue on.... so interesting hearing from all of them.
I loved this! I have a huge respect for stylists and hope there are more of these round tables in the future!
This was fascinating!
More of this PLEASE! This was fantastic. I admire everyone involved. They all shared their individual experiences and opinions while simultaneously respecting their peers, that will always make for a great discussion.
Loved seeing and learning more about what the stylists have to deal with, I definitely to see more stylists talking about their experiences
This was eye-opening. Thank you!
I am loving the diving into the other side of film/entertainment industry that examines the work from behind the scenes. So much goes on before we (the viewer) get to see the glossy finished product. This particular round table was definitely educational.
Great interview guys. So glad these artists are getting a chance to talk about their process. Much love.
I would love if you make part 2 but with different stylists, it's beautiful to know about this industry,I really feel curious about it 💞
I love this conversation!!!! This is super raw and interesting
I could listen for another hour I feel like they were just getting started 👍👍
great round table would love to see other videos like this
This is super fascinating, love hearing about this part of the industry
Superb roundtable...best so far
This was so interesting even though this conversation is almost 4 yrs old
I WANT MORE OF THEM!!
THEY'RE SO LOVELY!!!!
I think one of the kardashian’s stylist should be here too. They are also revolutionary on their own right.
Such a good interview
Love this. Please do more
AMAZING! keep going !
Keanu’s mom is a major person in fashion. She ?made/designed Dolly Parton’s gowns back in the day!
I can watch them all day every day. Please new stylists round table
This was sooo good 🔥👊
Never knew I needed this round table
Yes I need more of this.
Informative. Mondo. Beyond. So many facts most people have never heard. The moderator gripped the reins on a team of galloping supersenstive creatives. She deserves a medal. A fantastic viewing and learning experience. I hope they will revisit stylists again.
she did do a fantastic job of steering this conversation away from a moaning-session to a topical one.
Loved this
*MORE OF THIS PLEASEEE*
love this !!😉
Part 2 please... I enjoyed it.
I need more of theseeeee
This is an amazing round table
After getting through the first few minutes of chaos and talking over each other, this was a fun and insightful conversation.
Loved this soo informative. Though ladies don't dismiss the guys saying it could have been about race with large houses . But loved it
This was great.
The best part of this roundtable is that Stephen Galloway isn't moderating
fabulous, we need more of these forums..so relevant
