Thank you! Yes I like those rain marks, I scooped the paper up so quickly that I’m surprised at how many raindrops there were but I’m pleased the rain decided to collaborate with me 😅🥰
I think working on a big scale after you have worked so small, must have been very freeing! I should have mentioned in my comment on your last film, please don't worry about editing too much. I agree with another viewer, it's just great to watch you create. Having someone else filming for you allowed you to concentrate on your work! Just a lovely video😍
I feel like your attention to small details is where this came together, you’ve put so many hours into your skills and this is evident through this piece. I loved watching the messy process and appreciate the epic scale and physical effort it took ❤
Thank you so much! Over time the more art I made the more effortless it feels (it's still hard work sometimes but it shows you practice pays off eventually!)
You do such a great job so calmly explaining your processes and thoughts! And I, for one, just loved the texture the little raindrops provided. Can't wait for my card packs to arrive! Thanks!
Molly, thank you for sharing this wonderful experience you had! So creative! And the raindrops on the art....perfect!! I am so glad that you are continuing to make videos. It is always fun and inspiring to see what you are up to!🤗
It was meeeeee! I asked about your big scissors, I love them. Thanks for the name. I really love the large scale work but especially the small collages you’ve made, they seem to have such a story to them and the colours and shapes just sing. What a great video, the overhead shots are fab. Well done!
I love to watch people paint because I find it so amazing that a few marks on a surface can resolve into a recognisable landscape (or person or whatever), thank you so much for showing us the process of that big painting. (And gold star to Sam for the filming and drone footage 😀) I liked the bigger pieces you cut first, it’s almost a pity you needed to cut them further down to poster size. The rain drops made such a beautiful effect, really lovely. Perhaps you could play with that some more?
Thank you very much, it was great having my own personal videographer for the day! Yes they were impactful weren't they! I need to order some nice thick paper but more big paintings coming for sure (although probably not as big as this one!)
You’re so interesting and inspiring to watch Molly! I have no idea how you managed to fill that ginormous roll of paper with work that is unmistakably ‘you’ but you did it! Love the colours, love the composition, loved the filming (nice one Sam!) and the drone shot was so cool and yes, could have been one of your miniatures! I didn’t expect that! How cool that you can work so small and so big! Well done and thank you as always for sharing your lovely, lovely process ❤
Thank you so much Natalie! Yes I wasn’t expecting that either! I wasn’t trying to keep it in style with my smaller works, I actually wasn’t thinking much at all about what I was doing to be honest 😅 so pleased you enjoyed watching!
Binge watching your channel and you just keep surprising me with your artist eye and skill plus your courage to try something new and step out of your comfort zone.
That looked so fun! Your videos are really inspiring to me to get out and do some landscape painting (which I have been putting off for far too long) and just go with the flow as I explore. So nice to have a moment that was so meaningful in your work/process recorded! Thank you for sharing 🌞
What a lovely video. It is so good to push the boundaries as an artist, try something you have never done before, use those supplies that are moldering away in the recesses of our studios. ❤
Thank you for sharing your experiments with us, it's really interesting following your journey of trying out new things, and hearing you explaining your train of thought during the process - it is also good to watch your confidence growing. I also like the way that nothing is wasted, and your scraps eventually get turned into beautiful collages!! Wendy
Thank you Wendy! It’s been fun branching out and experimenting, I guess because wood engraving is my job it’s nice to have other art forms that are a bit freer, more like a hobby 🥰 I’m looking forward to doing some more engraving this week though! I love taking scraps of things and creating something new 🥰
This video is so amazing Molly! Your process was such a joy to watch, and a round of applause is needed for the footage your husband got of the whole thing! The drone shots are so cool. Watching your videos gives me a lot more confidence to create my own art too ❤
Thank you! I liked it too, if only I knew someone with a wall that big 😅 I want to get some smaller, thicker pieces of paper to paint on next so I don’t need to cut them up 👌
Thank you for another really inspirational video Molly. I feel very inspired to be courageous and just get outside and paint loosely and freely as you have done, so thank you ☺️
Thank you for this beautiful video, I think it’s my favourite on your channel. I've been feeling a lot of anxiety and tension in recent days and your videos are a cure for me :) greetings from Poland 🌻
Thank you for watching Aleksandra! I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling anxious, I’m right there with you! I’m happy my video was a distraction for you, brighter days will come I’m sure ☀️
I loved absolutely everything about this video - it really is so inspiring! I think it’s so interesting to see that this work, whilst so different from your prints, is still recognisably yours!
Love the over head shots of your large painting! Even with the rain drops and working fast it came out beautiful! 💙 I have a question about the sound - sometimes with ear buds the sound is only coming from one side, and don't know if it's from my end or not?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! Oh that may be an issue at my end! I probably exported in stereo not mono… I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen next time 🙈 thanks for letting me know!
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but I recently did lightfast tests on brushos pigments and they are not at all lightfast . Some of the colours almost disappeared totally sorry to say.
@@mollylemonart no not at all like professional water colour paints. I tested many good quality ( Winsor and Newton, Holbien, QOR, Schminke ) brands at the same time as the Brusho pigments .They were in the same nor-west facing windows for six months and none of the water colours changed colour at all but Brushos samples almost disappeared. Brushos are highly unstable ( as are the Paperartsy infusions powders , Ken Oliver colour burst powders and Lindy's Gang Magical powder shakers) I did these extensive tests in order to ensure that any original artwork I created to sell would be lightfast. I now scan artworks that I have used the dye powders in and have them reproduced-printed with archival ink on archival paper.
I love how it comes together in your style when seen from a distance. And I really like the pattern and texture the raindrops made.

Such an inspiring video and interesting to watch your creative process. Looked so fun to do. Also lovely to see Devon. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Agreed! It's so easy to just go what you feel comfortable doing but it's way more fun to experiment!
I love this Molly, your brush marks are sumptuous!! 😍😍😍
Ah thanks Jess! That means a lot coming from you!
😍
Love it all so much and low how your describe your process and thoughts.
Thank you very much 🥰

Wow! It looked like fun! So nice, vibrant colours and pretty collages!
Thank you very much Olga! I just subscribed, look forward to watching your videos 🥰

I really want to try this myself
Do it! It's so liberating!
Very cool and brave to do this!
Thank you so much Katherine!
😊👏
Loved this video, such a great way of working - large and small 🌿
Thank you so much!
Great video Molly, the painting(s) look amazing, you are so inspiring, thankyou.

Hi Molly...sorry, late to the premiere...a little trouble with a drill and hanging pictures.
Don't apologise Jane! Oh dear, I hope you got it sorted 🤞
@@mollylemonart I did, thumbs still intact!
@@janewills3379 Phew!!
I loved this video and I've enjoyed watching your work and confidence expand. ❤@@mollylemonart
Did Winnie try to walk on the painting at all? I feel like my dog would’ve just laid down on it immediately 😆
PS- Love the collages! Wonderful video.
Haha she did stand on it a couple of times but thankfully not until after it was dry 😅
These are beautiful ! What did you do with the rest ?
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but I recently did lightfast tests on brushos pigments and they are not at all lightfast . Some of the colours almost disappeared totally sorry to say.
Much like watercolour I suppose! I’ve heard UV sprays can help though! Even highly lightfast pigments struggle in direct sunlight sadly!
