Hello I am having issues with Amplitube 5 and not being able to save the presets as a TXP file. It looks like it saves it as a AT5 file only. I am using Windows 10 .
Yes it would. You should get a foot switch to operate it because without it it's not practical. Axe I/O One has sw/pedal inputs at the backside. Simple on/off switch works fine.
Would please make another video more clear and tell us which kind of foot switch that how to plugin to the interface from where we can find this switch more information if that possible. Thank you
I'm using this in the video support.neewer.com/product/neewer-dual-channel-2-button-footswitch-controller-switcher-with-1-4-inch-jack-cable-for-guitar-bass-and-keyboard-amplifiers-with-on-off-switching-capability-nw-202/ It is a simple on/off switch. What kind of audio interface you are using?
What foot switch and expression pedal are you using with your axe i/o. Information on this around the net seems scarce. I was thinking about ordering a boss fs-7 and a nektar expression pedal, but I'm worried it won't be compatible. Thank you for making this video.
I'm using Roland EV-5 expression pedal just because I've had it for ages and I've used different on/off foot switches, the one in the video is cheap Neewer switch. I'm pretty sure both Boss FS-7 and Nektar NX-P works well. Nektar even has a polarity switch which makes it compatible with loads of equipment.
@@mikaerik thank you for the reply. Just to double check. When you have your expression pedal and your dual foot switch plugged in, you can use both buttons on your foot switch and still use the expression pedal? Or do you need to use a splitter cable from the dual foot switch and plug into both of the inputs on the back of the axe io in order to use both switches. One of the salesman at sweetwater gave me the impression that I would only be able to have a dual switch, or an expression pedal, not both. Or I could go with a single switch and an expression pedal.
@@ShwigShwag I have an expression pedal in one input of the AXE I/O (external control) and the dual switch in second one. I do not have any splitters or extra stuff. If the dual switch has two cables then you probably need an adapter. You can see my older video for Amplitube 4 where it's explained and working ua-cam.com/video/klDbT52JPO4/v-deo.html
@@mikaerik just wanted to come back and add to this for anyone else who is interested. I ended buying the nektar nx-p and the boss FS-6 they work great. If anyone decides to go with the boss or other similar two button foot switches make sure that you also pick up a 1/4" TRS cable. A regular TS instrument cable will not work if you want to use both buttons at the same time. Also make sure that the battery is connected. I've heard some say that the fs-6 and 7 can be used as latch only without power but amplitube wouldn't recognize any input without the fs-6 having powerr
Is there a way to edit/clear out the last part of the loop? There is a silent period of when I'm reaching the computer mouse to stop the loop recording. I searched the ik forums and it seems nobody has a solution to this.
I don't think so. If you don't have a foot switch you might try this ua-cam.com/video/n-gcSReo_ws/v-deo.html I know it's not the same but sometimes it's better than nothing. You can also import files to 8-track recorder ua-cam.com/video/V49ysPU_tTc/v-deo.html
HI Mika, this video helped me, thanks. Have you noticed that 'parallel chains' don't work in full stereo in AT5 Looper? All other preset chains work fine but the parallel ones seem have audio mainly on left side. I'm wondering why this is. Also, can audio be imported into the Looper (I know it can in the 8 track)?
Hi. If you mean the last option with two straight arrows you need to connect your audio source (guitar) in both left&right inputs of an audio interface to have both channels working. The other options have mono input which is sent to different amps. Correct me if I understood wrong!
@@mikak2747 thanks, your answer does explain it and makes sense. Thanks. It's just strange how these same presets sound fine when just playing through them when not in the looper.
I think I get what the AT5 looper is doing now but it's totally different to AT4, here's what I did in at4, is it even possible in AT5? in AT4 I recorded on loop1 the bass part for the chorus of a song, then recorded on loop2 the bass part for the verse, then I could stop and start the relevant bass part with the footswitches as I played the lead over it. This doesn't seem possible in AT5.
Hi! You can play track 1 and 2 together or one at a time, each track itself can include several takes, I never used 4's looper but as you said it has changed.
@@reid1967 I don't think you can get it working the same way. You can assign for example footswitch 1 to looper 1 and looper global play to footswitch 2 but it does not work the way you want it to. Maybe 8-track recorder would be more flexible for this or a DAW?
hey men! thanks a lot. i'm having glitches when recording with the looper. its realy anoying. I've a powerfull mac, so i know it isn't the RAM or the procesor. Any idea how to fix this?
With Midi I don't think so, as far as I know there's no midi parameter for it. Would be handy especially in live situations. It states in the manual that you could "Clear all" with iRig Stomp I/O using Switch 4. I don't have it and therefore cannot test how it actually works.
Thank you very much. Your video is very clear and I was able to loop (Amplitube 5.3) . Anywhere I have a synchronization problem explained in the video below video. The looper looks to loose the synchronization after some start stop. Any hint ? Thx : ua-cam.com/video/EUpkRmQjalM/v-deo.html

If anyone is using Line 6 FBV you need to set the switches to 'Single'.
Thanks for your input!
thats just what I came here looking for, thanks. And thanks Mika
hello, can you tell what kind of footswitch is it and how to connect to the PC and Amplitube?

can you use an actual looper pedal to operate it instead of a footswitch?
