The design of the new quick settings panel is horrible. Whoever designed this has serious sight issues.
Exactly I agree
I like it now
Devs tinkering for the sake of it.
@@MrBaracu why?
I agree. The quick settings menu scroll or that silly little dot doesn't work at all. Did the person who designed it actually use it, or as is typical, they rushed it to market and let the customers find the bugs. Unbelievable.
An extra app (battery, payment, ads) is not a good solution. Hope Google will fix their mistake.
also: wish developers would stop making UI changes just for the sake of changing something up. if there were no complains against 11 quick menu or huge demands for larger tiles at least make it optional or offer a roll back. Ridiculous to make a quick options menu less quick and useful
android 12 definitely has oversized buttons now, literally doubling the number of times I need to scroll to get to the last few. currently, that's 7 times. i definitely don't need a text telling me that a wifi symbol is wifi. next to that the notifications part below is completely blacking out the background, instead of just showing us a dimmed version of what was open behind the pull-down bar. and the brightness bar didn't need thickening up this badly. these things make android 12 not worth the upgrade, and i don't think people want to a 10,- yearly purchase to fix this annoyance.
do yk how I could fix the update without purchasing anything?
There should be a way of doing this without an app... Whatever tf they did should be in the accessibility settings. Not everyone is 60 years old and needs subtitles to their icons
To summarise this video: The guy is promoting a crappy paid application. There is no guarantee that the app will not steal sensitive data from your notifications + It is really buggy.
Other summary. I’m not forcing anyone to download it lol
@@coppervsglass Great app, I just like it because it gave me an offer to buy it permanently apparently it was gonna end in 24 hours, I'm just happy I don't have to see Android 12's terrible notification panel

The fact that I am searching for something like this shows that how much of a downgrade Android 12/13 is. I simply hate it. Android 9/10 on my OnePlus 6 were perfect although they lost the plot with Android 11 update. But honestly, I did not want to update the OS or change the phone. However, I am stuck now since I lost my phone. Curses :(
I hate Android 12, they could've added all the new features without removing customization and without changing the UI. Or at least giving us a way to go back to the old UI and shade

Thanks guys. What would I do without you lol. If you could please go back on all videos to make people aware that would amazing. Or just don’t waste your time lol
Why isn't there a simple on/off option for that goddamn notification shade. I REGRET UPDATING MY FUCKING PHONE!
please play with screen lock, you will be able to get notifications but there is one trick. You first need to remove password from screen lock and then go to notifications and mark detailed notifications. then you come back to screen lock and you again set up your password. It should work. I also have an android 12 and even downloaded the app presented above but it was not working... so it is just a scam. an advert. Investigate on the screen lock and then you will get popping out notifications
Same here..I'm about to buy a new phone ..this is a Brand New one ..I did update and this drag bar is driving me crazy
Updating to Android 12 was a mistake. They are scumbags for ruining the notification shade.
If it was just the shade I would be ok with it. But the quick settings are not quick anymore! Why are they so huge?? Why do devs change things when they are NOT broken?
@@lisapedraza2453 they are just big but still quick.
Totally agree I regret updating and sadly there's no returning to android 11
I woke up to my phone automatically upgraded to android 12 and I'm pissed off. This is a horrible design update
Couldn't Agree more.
The mismatched light dark look is killing me
Really bullshit is android 12's notification bar
Bruh. Clickbait or what. "Here's how you can remove this shitty new quick panel! - it's an app and I'm gonna take 4 minutes to say that." Ffs.
Does anyone who developed android 12 think that the cr@ppy new layout of settings icons is progress? It looks like it was designed by a 5 year old, and that’s probably unfair to 5 year olds. It ranks up there with removal of micro sim compatibility and headphone jacks and Apples perverse decision to make it almost impossible to play your itunes library on iphones and ipads by forcing Apple Music app on its users.
so true. Looks like they gave an untalented daycare child MS Paint to come up with the UI mockup for this change... Sometimes I really wonder who the hell makes such fundamental ui decisions at Google. That's a portion of the interface that most use several times a day.
Imagine Microsoft deciding that your Start Menu is now fugly as hell, takes up all your screen space but only shows a third of the previous information...
@@074523 i suspect they have hundreds of software engineers and need to justify their existence so they constantly 'fix' what isn't broken. At least two retrograde steps with every new release. If Google spent asmuch time getting their cr@ppy buggy phones to actually work properly as they do tinkering with things that work fine already in android, they'd actually have a product worth the prices they charge. As it stands the Pixel 7 I own is only marginally better than the Pixel 6 I returned( because it wasn't fit for purpose). Apart from a great camera, it's rubbish and even the camera has no manual controls so it's really a point and shoot. Grossly overrated in my opinion
no one in their right mind is going to pay a subscription for this...
Dont do like its much for a year...
I just want a colorfull notifications list just like it was in android 11...nothing else
Power shade was removed from the play store a few years ago by play protect, now it's back, but why was it removed in the first place
It works but the old one still shows underneath any fix
I have the same problem. So fucking annoying.
It's so big and ugly now.🤦🏿♀️

"Just download this app" - yeah, no thanks lol
And pay for it after one month of free use. No thanks. LOL.
imagine not knowing how to bypass that lol
learn to suit yourself for your phone then i guess, since that was the company goal all along - you pay to get owned by the product
It also sucks tons of your data and sells it to advertisers
Is no one going to mention that it brings down both notification shades? When I swipe down, it brings down the new one. But I have to swipe up twice to make it go away. The first one goes away, then it also shows the android 12 shade. It's super annoying and a deal breaker for this app.
Same here, even after enabling "Override system panel".
But did you try double tapping at the top of the screen? Then it doesn't trigger the default shade with my Pixel 4a. Also it seems if you swipe down differently, slower, where you first hold the top of the screen untill it renders the notification panel only up to about the bottom of the camera hole and then further down, it also doesn't drop down both.
But it's a big PITA. Like an absolute downgrade in UI.
I'm using a Pixel 4a btw. Let me know if this is a workaround for you.
@@jcvjcvjcvjcv
I've been able to get it to work slightly. If I like don't do a full swipe it brings down just the new shade. But then my phone doesn't think there's anything there at all so if I swipe up, it makes the shade go away, but also always brings me to my home screen. Because I use gesture controls. Im just not going to use it. But thank you for the tips!
@@Josh-gl5us Yes, I've just found that out too. Not swiping so deep only brings the Power Shade. But it's bugged in all kinds of ways. Tapping the wifi button still brings up the stupid Android 12 menu you get when tapping the native "internet" button.
All in all a big PITA.
After messing with it for half hour I've seen enough of Power Shade and uninstalled it.
I still wonder if you have to have a sadistic character to work as UI designer at these big software companies.
Thanks Bro 💪 Really helped
Yeah same thanks a million!
tried it, didn't like it... had similar issues to others with both panels coming down I don't need one more app on this phone anyway hopefully Google will allow some customization of the quick settings someday soon.

Because there is no first party option currently :)

Only way to get rid of that ugly look is to downgrade to Android 11
How on earth do you get a bigger grid back? Both my S10e and S21 are on One UI 4.1 but the S10e has a 4x3 grid of quick settings whereas I'm stuck with acres of empty space on the S21 with only 4x2 quick settings.
Android 12 is the worst update in my life , made every single thing about the phone worse and I cant even choose in some changes.
The problem with PowerShade and many other apps like this one. Is that notification are not grouped for some apps, so it's just incomfortable to use....
Fold 3 here, got Android 12 last night. Now my notification panel does not show any notifications. I can only see them as I drag down and then they are blocked off when I release my thumb. Very annoying...
Just read the comments. This guy loves to hear himself talk.
Yeah there a ton of comments about that hahahahaha. Anyway back to hearing myself talk.........thanks for watching :)
This app has a lot of bad recent reviews. I'm guessing something's changed in Android since this video was made.
Probably people realizing their free trial expired. Don't like android forcing the use of a third party app, but I do find the stock buttons unusable.
I need something that brings back the sound option to the notification panel.
Give any solution of system notification panel which is appear again and again
Doesn't seem to work right on Pixel 4a running A12. It brings back the old quick settings and notification, but on top of the new notification instead of replacing it. Glad I figured that out before signing up for the paid version of the app.
Any, non-ripoffy alternatives?
There don't seem to be, unfortunately.
Since moving to s21 ultra from appe, I have found it really frustrating because when you set your font to a bigger size and a higher zoom on text options, full letters don't show on a lot of apps which leaves you guessing what some parts of the screen say
How to disable native notification panel?
What launcher are you using?
I like using the notification area for controls then widget on home screens, like firetv and vlc
Guys, I managed to fix pop-up notifications without power shade which does not work at the free download. This video is nothing but the advert... pity but it is true. I downloaded the app and despite of giving all admissions, the messages were not popping out as they should. Please go to the setting of your android and then investigate in the screen lock. with no problem you can set up there notifications which you will receive from all applications you marked as allowed to deliver the message. Then go to the screen lock and then mark it as none, then come back to notifications and mark details, then come back to screen lock and set up your pass. From now on you will get notifications on your first shade which is a screen lock. DO NOT DOWNLOAD this app.
It is not working as for free version and what it may do? obviously just collecting info. Cheers
is there a way to turn back on the numbers on notification dots?
This doesn't work on the Pixel 6 Pro, the standard notification panel still pulls down behind this one.
Same with the Edge 20 pro, why they couldn't just add an option to revert it to the previous style is beyond me.
How to disable Notification shade or Slide bar or Quick bar in Lock Screen in Pixel 6a ?
21 Gun Salute is an awesome tune ;) That whole album is amazing.
Now this is why disabling dislike is a dumb feature.
It currently has 500 dislikes
Indeed ...
That app is garbage. Even with "Override system panel" enabled, it still gives me the default notifications shade in the background. Then I have to swipe up twice to collapse it...
It's almost like Windows... where they garbaged the UI going from 7 to 10.... the quick settings panel became worse with Android 10 > 11 and now it's next-level worse...
Makes you wonder what they will come up with for Android 13... Maybe a huge toggle for just 1 app and you have to swipe left or right for random toggles that are never in the same order... Also bright white when in dark mode and pure black while on light mode. Maybe I should not be giving the guys at Google any ideas.
Can you help me in getting screen mirroring to work on my samsung a12
A much cheaper alternative may be notification toggle from the play store.
How do you turn on/off data don't see icone in fast bar
Just a long advert for junk to buy!
From the moment my phone updated to 12, I keep having this issue where a new text message only shows up when the actual messaing app is open. The notification of a new message just all of a sudden stopped. I have tripled checked all of the notification settings. On both third party and stock apps. Same issue on both. SMSC number maybe? Shit is annoying, smh
Not me liking the android 12 notification panel
There You go sell us something flawed, then try and sell us a fix

I wish they had a middle finger emoji
I rooted my pixel 6 yesterday because of the "Scoped storage" I'm waiting for a stable custom ROM where I will have full ownership of my device again.
Nobody asked for this, and they undoubtedly ignored valid feedback against it. Why did they have to go out of their way to make it so much worse?
Google is trying to capture some of the iOS crowd by copying elements of their UI. A really stinky move for all of those who chose Android over Apple because we liked the Android interface better.
@@davidtipton514 But now they've come full circle and made it so different that it's actually bad. Material Design was worse than Holo (Holo was such ahead of its time though), but Material You has made me really appreciate Material Design.
