You are immortal. You cannot die. You haven’t aged since you turned 23. You cope with this eternal life by adventuring and seeing what you can discover, who you can meet and how you can help those in need. But the 264 years you’ve lived have finally caught up with you and you’re hit with a sudden depressive episode. You settle down in a cottage and wait for it to go away. Instead, you meet someone new.

This is Alexander, the writer of this script. Sorry it took so long for me to find this, I have no idea how I missed it by a month. Thank you for covering this Asaki, you did a good job! And to the commenters, thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot.
And I know what you've all been asking so I'll answer it publicly now: yes, a second part is being written. I can't promise an exact date, but if nothing goes wrong, it should be done this month. If not, then next month. It'll have lore about the Land Of Dead Souls, lore about The Goddess herself, and a lot of physical affection. So look out for that when it drops.

I mean.........Musashi is a Yamato Class Battleship. We are talking 460mm guns, and 100 anti air guns, with 410mms of armored belt, she is the second deadliest surface combat warship ever to be built by us, humble humans, second only to her own sister, Yamato. But calling them the Goddess of All Death is.....way too fucking much.
I mean Kaga is even deadlier, but because she is an Aircraft Carrier WITH very good surface combat capabilities. If Shinano would have been Finished............holy fucking ship, that would have been even more destructive.
But the IJN is no more............Best the JSDMF could do.......is Kaga.....they just brought Kaga back with slight modernization, and F-35B.
And as the Titanic-Lady would say it..... It's been 84 years.
Nuclear ICBM Subs exist, which can single handedly wipe half a continent of all population, And there are great, and capable Nuclear-fired Carriers like the Charles de Gaulle.
So while Musashi is destructive, and deadly......far from the deadliest machine to set it's keel in the oceans of the planet.

Unfortunately for this so-called "goddess," this man had made one final, powerful friend. One who was used to eluding the creatures of darkness, not unlike her. And it was this friend who lashed out with his Holy whip and caught her by surprise. As the burning sensation of the whip caused her to stagger, she heard this new foe of hers declare with a fierce voice "Wretched monster! Die! You do not belong in this world, and the Vampire Killer will cleave you out from it entirely!" And by morning, it was so. The supposed goddess of death was nothing but a lifeless, burning corpse. The two men packed their things immediately after, and set out on a new journey: to rid the world of the false idols who did nothing but meddle and toy with humanity, when its true Creator had planned so much more for them.

I cannot begin to tell you how mad I would be if I were to find out that my cursed existence was brought about by some wet wipe god who was way too down bad and obsessed like if he wasn't dead already I'd probably make it my objective to kill that god myself, fuck man.
But with that out of the way I imagine that under the circumstances the listener is in they would not be opposed to the possibility of finally being able to... rest
Like whatever the outcome may be upon going through this passage, I feel the listener would win either way.
Either they are finally able to depart and don't have to deal with the world of the living, the living themselves and their antics anymore
or they remain alive in the realm of the dead, still away from all that other shit and reunited with lost friends and families... while probably also being a partner of sorts to the goddess of death as an added bonus.
So yeah, ain't no way I wouldn't tag along under these circumstances. Take me away.
