I wonder if the sin that sent her to hell was pride, that she leads her summoners astray into the most intense vainglory with her obsessive and worshipful devotion. I mean seriously, a 300 000 verse Epic? The longest poem in english is the life of King Alfred by John Fitchett, and that has over 131 000 lines, not verses, lines and needed Robert Roscoe, John Fitchett's pupil and friend, to finish having taken John himself DECADES. And one verse can range from a single line to an entire stanza.
“I don’t remember what sins I committed… but they must have been great atrocities if it puts through that.” And this is one reason I hate the Christian God. There are no martyrs, as that requires self-sacrifice and not mere fear of punishment. Hell exists to scare people into submission and misses the point of punishment. After all… I doubt she was released from that punishment out of the good of her God’s heart. She was driven mad by the flames in the name of punishment and her “rehabilitation” turned her into this. Someone who exists only to serve. No real will of her own. What a pathetic way to rule by fear. Throwing around power to hurt people without repercussions.
@@Schimml0rd I know right? Imagine if there was a real life religion that revolved around how everyone not part of it would face this punishment. It’d be like something out of Orwell’s 1984 with its thoughtcrimes and casual discussion of genocide! Man, I’m so glad that this is all fiction. 😊
@@WDinATX Sorry to over analyze this but it seems that the lore of this video is more in the vein of that one (very early in their history) sect of christianity that thought the new testament god and old testament god were different people. The new testament god was essentially sending jesus to try and get people to safety out of the old God's reach. It's a really cool framing and solves the weird characterization switch of god but it doesn'tr quite make sense for... nevermind... the point is I think it's implied there are other gods in the setting and the listener is trying to change the way things operate (freeing people other gods have imprisoned, advising mercy to people who don't follow them, etc)
