Teak Deck Restoration - Phase 1: “TE-KA” two part cleaner

This boat has caught my eye for many months. I swooned over the idea of restoring her #teak wood deck anytime I walked by. As the saying goes… “where your attention goes, energy flows” and in turn, manifests
.
Last week the owner of this boat stopped me for a card and asked if they could receive a quote for some maintenance. Later that day I was contacted by the owner of the company and they expressed this boat owner specifically asked for the woman employee (me) and emphasized how impressed they were by my hard work they observed on the boat across from them. They further asked if we restore #teakwood … indeed this is a specialty of mine

Once I stepped aboard this boat I realized I was in for a challenge
😅🤘 of removing many layers of old teak sealer.
While waiting on our full order of preferred teak #wood cleaning product “TE-KA” to arrive I started scrubbing the port side (left side) of the deck to see what kind of progress could be made.

While this is one of the most extensive teak deck restorations I’ve done on a #sailboat I am elated to have the opportunity to indulge my passion for cleaning & restoring wood, and to become familiar with such a style of sailboat
.
