I used to draw, make diy cards, anything that has to do with color pens and pretty card stocks. Then marriage and motherhood happened, I set my passion aside in order to prioritize my family. Now, I'm planning on doing it sgain, 23 yrs later. While I'm still saving and planning what type of die cutting machine and the different kinds of supplies and rools should I buy, I'm familiarizing myself or preparing myself by watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your passion thru your videos. A fan from the Philippines.
Hey J.D. I have been watching a couple of your videos for gatefold, vellum and belly bands I could watch them all day Haven’t seen you around YT lately so I hope all is well with you and see when get back. Thanks again for all of your great tutorials!
You have no idea how glad I am that I found this video. I've been trying to figure out how to make a card like this for a while and dummy me is just not the inclined to figure the steps out! This definitely with help with some of the dies I've wanted to try out and stop wasting cardstock.
Oh my. I used to make and give only hand made hand painted cards when I was young...(40 years ago!!!). I used to score the cards with used ball points pens and hand paint them.or use different colored papers...Now... Card making has come a long way since then. Now it is all machine aided. It isan eye opener for me. But I thoroughly enjoyed the beauty. Thanks for rekindling my interest in it.
You’re going to love the electric die cutting machine, I never looked back since I got mine, cuts so much better. A4 platform is brilliant, you can get opened cards through it, does so much more!!
I just found your channel a couple weeks ago and I got to tell you I really like your style, more so, sometimes... well lots of times now then some of the channels I've been watching that mainly just make me feel really inferior in my crafting process because they have to be perfect at everything. And honestly, your sense of humor is so much better and fun to listen and watch when I'm learning about new ways to waste my money haha
Just fabulous! Thank you for this wonderfully narrated lesson. Can't wait to see more! You capture people not only with your skill, but with your charm! Enjoyed it much!
Just found you today. May I say up front I envy the smile....your teeth are superb..so so beautiful and sparkly white. Your work here is great. Thank you for your time and efforts.
It was a lot of “informative “ fun watching this gatefold video. So helpful. This is really cool be...cause, we learn the technique then we go to work with our own creativity. With all the fabulous videos out there with each months product releases constantly, I think my creativity has suffered so this way of showing techniques is so much needed. We end up relying on others to give us ideas rather than imagine our own. I’m going to rethink how I do things as I think too much of a diet of anything isn’t good. Thanks for having fun in the vid!
I'm new here, thanks to Cuban Curlzz! I'm loving the new ideas on how to fold and design my cards! I have my daughter's high school graduation coming up and we're making her cards! You just gave me some excellent ideas!! TFS!! I can't wait to watch more!! ♡
Omg! Love you & your awesome vids, you explain things so clearly, your sense of humour is just so cool ... so glad I found your vids :) addicted to them now :) cheers from OZ!
Hello, I liked all your ideas for making gate folds. The scene one was my favorite. I have a idea, which i wpuld like to share... For the die cuttings.. e. g. heart, background, word etc die cutting gate folder card.... You had to trace the dies by pencil to position it correctly on other side. Instead of that you can do it as " once you done with cutting on 1st side, you can bring back both folds together (die still on side), the die will exactly position right place as you did not moved it. You can tape it on second side and than remove the tape from first side. You need no pencil tracing

Great cards! Thank you Woohoo- electric die cutter. I thought same thing, only exercise was cranking the machine so I put mine where I have to walk to it and didn’t even open it for almost 2 mths.
