This is absolutely the best Steamed Hams I've ever seen. I love the duck song, I've listened to it countless times. I would have never expected to see such a crossover. If you kept the music even during the dialogues, that would have been perfect!
This. Everything about this is so good. I love it. My favorite part is the narrator breaking character at 2:15, I'm sure it was probably accidental but it makes it so much funnier
i love how Superintendent Chalmers is invading Seymour's house and getting mad at him and asking questions, so Seymour has to improvise each day to keep Chalmers from firing him
Skinner must be really patient to be willing to keep inviting Chalmers over for lunch in spite of his habit of leaving every time he's annoyed by what's going on, whether it's calling hamburgers "steamed hams" or claiming the Aurora Borealis is in the kitchen.
This explains why Skinner is so unconcerned about his house being on fire at the end of Steamed Hams. Apparently that's a normal occurrence that happens every day, and it's always miraculously extinguished by the next day. His mother is senile and forgets every time, and he knew Chalmers wouldn't believe him if he told him the truth, so he had to come up with the aurora borealis explanation.
I just realized, the duck wanting grapes at a lemonade stand is a con! The man goes with the duck to get grapes at the store, and the duck's accomplice robs the stand! Devilishly delightful Seymour.
I like the idea that chalmers goes away for an entire day and during that time Skinner does not deal with the oven so the house doesn't catch on fire but instead buys hamburgers.
I would've found it funny if Chalmers had said, "Well, Seymour, you are an odd fellow, but I must say... but I must say... but I must say, you steam a good ham."
Lyrics: Bum bum bum, ba-dum ba-dum A duck walked up to a lemonade stand and he said to the man running the stand: "Well, Seymour, I made it, despite your directions." I have a theory this video was inspired by the part in the original Steamed Hams when Chalmers walks away like at 0:21 it looks like he's _waddling away_
Reasons for the duck waddling away: 1. Refused to have an unforgettable luncheon. 2. Didn't want steamed clams. 3. Hates it when people call hamburgers steamed hams. 4. The steamed hams were grilled. 5. Was refused access to aurora borealis and was offered a grape.
