Atlanta MARTA Train Gold Line, Five Points in Downtown Atlanta to Doraville, 4k Train Ride

- Riding Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Rail Gold Line (northbound) from Five Points Station in Downtown Atlanta to Doraville. This journey starts at MARTA Rail Blue/Green Line platform. At that platform, I've walked downstairs to Red/Gold Line northbound platform. I've boarded the Gold Line northbound train to Doraville Station (last station of the Gold Line). The Gold Line train passes by Midtown, Arts Center, Buckhead (especially one of Atlanta's upscale mall called Lenox Square) and northeast Atlanta towns. As of 2022, the full one way fare is $2.50.
If you want to go to Atlanta International Airport (ATL), take the southbound Gold Line to the airport.

I been up in New York for almost five months and haven’t been to the A since then. It’s crazy how much different the vibes are compared to the nyc subway. Lowkey miss it

The Blue and Green Line platforms at Five Points are at grade. The platforms at the station complex are much wider than at other stations because it was planned to be a cross platform interchange between all 4 lines with 8 tracks and 4 island platforms in the early plans.
Do we know if the new train will have the same wonderful voice as the current trains and on the Atlanta Streetcar
That's a good question. I think they will since no new stations or lines are added at this moment.
No everything is going to be new new new
@@hoodboyzAtl ooh man I loved that old voice
@@hoodboyzAtl I mean the Atlanta streetcar has the same voice
It's a whole CQ400 coming 100 new design 4 car and the open gate 6 car train CQ400
Since I have been on the MTA New York City Subway before, it's exactly that for the MARTA Atlanta Subway as well. It seems that MARTA has copied New York, at least for the Downtown Atlanta portion of the North-South line. Five Points almost feels like Times Square 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal station complex.
Oh wow I gotta visit nyc Atlanta is the only city in the south that has actually subway system like nyc Chicago Washington DC Philly Boston Baltimore
