  • Riding Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Rail Southbound Red Line from Buckhead (passing through Downtown Atlanta and Midtown Atlanta) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Station (ATL).
For more information about traveling between ATL Airport and Downtown/Midtown Atlanta, checkout my blog at: houexplorer.com/2023/03/01/ma...
In my opinion, if you are staying in Downtown/Midtown/Buckhead, the fastest and best traveling method is taking MARTA Rail Southbound to the Airport. If you're in Downtown or Midtown, you can either take Gold or Red Line Southbound to the airport.
You can watch the MARTA Red Line Northbound from ATL Airport to Buckhead Station (passing though Downtown Atlanta/Midtown Atlanta) ride video: • Riding MARTA Rail Red ...

It’s a lot better than it’s given credit for. Yeah, it’s not as extensive as WMATA, CTA, Septa, or NYC MTA…but that’s also true for other cities and not just Atlanta, and only a few other cities (Bay Area, Miami, Boston) even have a comparable system. Is it perfect, no, but if you live in the City of Atlanta and inner suburbs you can use it for all of your transit needs. People can complain about that, but it covers all of the most important places to get to in Metro Atlanta and it’s ok it doesn’t go to some random culdesac in Cobb county. Lol

Thanks for information. Out of respect: the Buckhead community Skyline is the Northern Part of the City of Atlanta. BUCKHEAD is not a city on it's own. The mayor of Atlanta is the mayor of Buckhead. Thanks. God Bless 🙌 🙏.

    Airport MARTA Station:
This station is the last stop on MARTA's Red and Gold Lines. This one provides access to the North and South Terminals of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Transfer service is available by the ATL Skytrain to the GICC and the rental car facility.

Take a look at this. If Cobb County and Gwinnett county were part of MARTA, a new line ex.(purple line: North-West Line)can be started. It would start at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and travel along the route of Interstate 285 and back to the airport. The present RedSouth Line(NorthWest-South Line) will continue its present travel NorthSpring to Airport. The present Gold Line(North-East Line)will continue its present travel Doraville to Airport. The Blue Line would continue its present travel from Cobb county west to Dekalb county east. In the future when expan west to Carroll county west(I an University of West Georgia Graduate(Grad86) the Blue Line would travel from carroll county west to Rockdale County East(when Rockdale County joins MARTA)After this suggestion, MARTA can takeover it exspansion plans. I will send my suggest exspansion to MARTA. My wish is for MARTA to cover the Atlanta region which includes:Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale counties.

I propose a name change. Lakewood-Fort McPherson to Lakewood-Tyler Perry Studios. He owns ALL that now. From homeless black man to billionaire movie mogul on formerly Confederate property. I want every visitor to Atlanta to recognize and be inspired by that.
