the y and 3 are suppose to have 70% same parts, why can not tesla give the Y the fixed model 3 suspension NOW.??

@@OceanGuy808 that's my strategy. What will be the ultimate factor is the battery pack. If it's a LFP and long range with the 7500$ credit, I will buy. But if it's the old Lithium and just a refresh visualy... will settle for the current at discount price.
Same same. No point in buying the old version when the refresh is just around the corner.
The client might be cheaper today, but will depreciate more once the new version is out.
The Model Y was the most sold car in the world in 2023. People are buying it. They don't really need to launch a bunch of different models to get people to do it.
Thank you for this update. I got a text yesterday about this model but I'll continue to hold out of the big refresh! I've had my heart set on midnight cherry when it comes out, but I do look forward to seeing quicksilver in person. That would probably be a little more forgiving with dirt. Do you know if the quality of the colors is the same across the board or are some better than others? Thanks!
That’s a good question! All of the colors are pretty good, but the best quality are definitely the new ones: quicksilver, stealth grey, & ultra red

I test drove the 2024 Model Y LR and the Model X. My issue with the Model Y is why does the Go Pedal feel very stiff or resistant when pressing down on it to go? While the Model X Go Pedal felt more softer, much more like an ICE Cars Gas Pedal. I'm also not thrilled with the Regen Breaking only being Standard Mode and not having a choice for the Low Mode on Reg Breaking. To me Standard Mode on Regen Breaking is very abrupt and makes the care very jerky when stopping the car. I would like to have the choice of switching to Low Mode to see if that makes Regen Breaking feel a little smoother for me. It's very hard to judge when to take your foot off the Go Pedal with Standard Regen Breaking.

As of today there’s .099% financing through Tesla. Wondering if I should go for it or just lease the refresh model 3 and later pick up the refresh model Y when my lease is up
.99% and that's only for Model Y.
I know I want the y refresh ultimately and I'm also on the fence
if I buy the current y I will end up selling / trading for refresh and because of that I'm thinking it's better lease the 3 refresh and do an early termination or lease trade

Actually, Tesla said the Long Range RWD is identical to the Dual Motor Long Range AWD, except it only has one motor. It has the same sound system and charging speeds as the LR AWD.
The sound system is not the same. The Website confirms this

Please explain how gas you don’t buy reduces the car’s purchase price. Unless you’re a driving professional, you don’t get to deduct gas from your expenses.
Exactly why I don’t buy into OEM that don’t give all that you paid for. You paid for the car, it’s full potential should be all available from day 1

Being (actually having) a Model Y I know how you feel about the suspension. My owner still wanted me back in 2022 anyway because he was missing out on the whole Tesla experience, but many of his friends are waiting for the suspension changes in Highland to show up in the new Model Y. Hopefully it won't be long now!

Nickeling and diming for interior & exterior colors is lame and isn't sexy... Tesla should know it... Same goes for "locking" features such as range...

Fun fact. The $7500 tax credit does not apply unless you owe taxes. So many of us won’t even see that. I had to find out the hard way. I didn’t owe any taxes so I did not get the $7500 for my 2023 Model Y. Tesla should really remove that out of the price or make it clear that this is unlikely unless you owe taxes.
I thankfully knew that and stopped my withholding for a while in 23.
Is taking the $7,500 as a point of sale an option for everyone?
Reviewers also seem to overlook the fact that there’s a $150k income limit to qualify for the tax credit.
I think the $7500 credit is at point of sale as well.
Don’t think I had that option in Jan 23.

Just to get to the closest Walmart from where I live or for that matter even into town it would take two full charges like it's only a 6-hour trip into town but it would take almost two full charges it's about 610 miles yes I'm a Canadian who uses miles because fuck the communist measurement give me some good old Freedom miles America is much better than Canada
