So, my employer doesn’t do sick time or vacation they do PTO. Is this going to make them change that or increase the amount of PTO provided by the additional 1/30hrs? Or do they just skirt this because “PTO”?
Hey Jay! Thanks for the comment! As long as the PTO plan exceeds what the sick leave law requires (including carryover provisions!) then they don't need to do anything else. Otherwise, they will need to plus it up or restate.
