Its nice to see all of the details really starting to come together.
A suggestion for obtaining a guitar string - go to a music store and ask their technician if they have recently replaced any strings. You should be able to get an old one or two for free. If you go for a steel string make sure to cut it only with cutters designed for hardened wire, it will wreck most cutters (maybe have the lengths in advance and see if the guitar tech can help cut it - pictures of what you will use it for can always work as bribery :)
I play guitar buy I really need some bass strings for the thickness. I have heavy duty wire cutters too but there are no music shops round in this country village that I live

How did you make the high voltage box
I really wish I had made a video. Just got some metal.mesh from a speaker and cut the top of the box off. Filled with wires and capacitors then lit it up with an arduino

They gave me two left seatbelts...
Not good
I was able to pry apart the fabric at the anchor point, flip it around, and re-glue it, pretty easy fix.
