Finally!! For years I've wanted a tool like this. Autocad, sketchup and other similar softwares had it for decades. The ruler is just too stupid and making thousands of guides is just too time consuming. But it's here now and I'm happy indeed.
Saw this tool once and promptly forgot about it.. so this is a great reminder about it. I've doing this manually.
I hope this is the first step to bring editable dimensions which will update the vector when changed.
this can also be used for UI/UX designs for development handoffs

Great tool! It will save me time measuring and typing in callouts. Also a great way to double check the at the dimensions are correct.
I think the only time I would use this would be when I’m sending a layout to a developer so that they can get the spacing right
If it can scale, does this make Illustrator a decent option for landscape and garden designs, or possibly architectural and technical drawings?

It’s good for graphic design branding bc you can use the tool as a way to see if distance between paths works.
And as you say- This is awesome for Print- tried doing this myself but failed it 😂😂 great video
Very nice! I used A LOT to do them manually! Finale it way quickier… but i changed job so I will probably not have to use it 😅😂

So i dont need to measure by using a rectangle between points and noting its width anymore ? Or usong guides and having to calculate the space bw them ? No way! Thanks for explaining this !
It doesnt seem to work accurately with measurements like CM. I have two objects at the same distance apart, and one says 2 cm and the other says 1
