We are collecting our rescue English bulldog next week and can’t wait. He is 12 months old and given up due to health issues with the dog (cherry eye) and with the owner (allergies). We as a family have visited 4 times now and taken him for walks and play time and although strong on the lead, not overly so. I have watched so many of your videos now to prepare us and we are ready to start crate training and walking to heal as soon as he is home. Thanks for all the grate content

Yes, our Joy let me know at about six months old, (she sat down and barked and barked) that “good girl, bad girl…whatever. I’ll do whatever I want to do”. We really got to know each other that day. Well, I understood her and learned her personality at that point. So I stopped with the hyper obedience training, and we accepted each other. Since then Joy has grown to appreciate us, and she wants to make us proud of her on occasion.😄. She has a wonderful sense of humor, and is quite the prankster.
Ha. I am literally in that phase now with my second bully. He is 6 months now and much more willful than my last bulldog. We are slowly understanding one another and the bonding is excellent. Sometimes we get so caught up in things we can forget to listen to our buddies. Its important to respect and listen to them also. We not only train them, but they train us as well.
I train service dogs for a living and have trained police dogs, but my English Bulldog is giving me a run for my money! LOL But he does his job as my Service Dog and feels when I am going to have my PTSD moments or flashbacks and immediately jumps into acting like a clown and making me laugh. When we are out at the store and I get anxiety he uses deep pressure therapy on me be leaning his body against me. He knows when I am going to pass out or have a seizure and makes me sit or lie down so I will be safe. So, even though he is a handful and super stubborn, he does his job that he has been trained to do and he does it completely perfectly.

My english bulldog is STUBBORN and sometimes a year in I think I've had enough and he acts like a complete goof to make me forget I was irritated about him not listening just a moment ago.

Hi will, thanks for this brief insight to the British Bull Dog. I’m about to start the process of adopting a 3 year old female who was used for purely breeding purposes & also kicked about by previous owner. I have a 12 week old kitten & wondered if you knew what the breed is like around kittens/cats?
I love my Zeus Apollo, he might be stubborn but not so bad. Yes he is a little possessive but he waits to eat when I tell him and follows perfectly he commands too! It he is a habit formed kid. I was told he would not walk and yes he uses diapers still after 3 years. He has spinafida and they were going to put him down. I rescued him. After helping him he learned to walk and now he runs, jumps and is very strong. The only issue is special diet and changing diapers and cover 3-4 times a day. But he is my child. He is healthy over all I do give him meds 10 days every mont because he constantly get urinary infection. But he is my best dog ever!

We just rescued a 5 yr old girl who was in a "puppy mill" she wasn't socialized and is very aggressive towards kids. She's not spayed yet.. will she calm herself down when we do the spay? We also have 2 other dogs and they're perfect with everyone, but they bark at her (expected) thanks Will.. I absolutely love your channel

Hi Just got a Bulldog 12 weeks old , cant seem to get him to not bite and pee in the house - even if i ake him out - maybe cause its winter ?

English bulldogs love there owners maybe a bit to much do not have your English bulldog around you if you are having problems with other people it will go crazy 😜
