- League Two looks to be wide open once again, with a number of sides ready to make a challenge for the title.
There’s plenty to like about Port Vale’s business so far this transfer window, can they now be considered favourites for the title?🤔

I think the whole mentality around the club is such a huge step up from last season. It was all really nasty and ugly in the club and the fans for most of last season after we kinda just fell apart after a really strong start. We had a club that admitted that they had fucked up and promised to do right by us and by god have they. There's just such positivity in every aspect of the club at the moment and it's amazing to see.
I thought our midfield was still good last season, even without any new signings we'd have a strong midfield as well this season but Croasdale and Byers makes it what I'd say is the best midfield of the league and offensively, like you mention, we have made some huge moves. We just need a few more defenders now, another right back is a must, and maybe a few loans to thicken the squad a bit and we're as good as we can be.
I think the largest danger for us is if we have a slow start to the season and then fall into negativity, the players and fans both gave up really early last season and that can't happen again.

Hart and Hall are defo upgrades. We didn’t have a LB for most of last season and Connor Grant was god awful when he played. Having a left footed CB in Hall will also help. Ben Heneghan signed yesterday which will hopefully sure up the back line as well

i think the only issue i have which you mentioned is the defence, although it wasnt terrible last season it wasnt fun to watch having moments where we let in some of the stupidest goals, i personally think we had a major issue with scoring goals, so as long as we score more than the opponent we are fine, we already had a ok at least defence for l2 so lets just see how it goes
Exactly our thoughts, the attack does look a fair bit stronger than the defence but you’d like to think there will be improvements. Best of luck for the season❤️

Darren Moore is a manager who gets a lot out of players, however you can't discount simmo as a man who gets cufc promoted out of L2. We have the financial backing and support and this is the start of something special for us. I think you're playing it safe and not tempting fate by talking up our chances 😂
Think Port Vale and Carlisle have both had rather decent transfer windows in different areas. Address the defence and Vale have a great chance of promotion! We’ll see about Carlisle…
