- 24 hours as a recruit⏰ Ever wondered what a typical day looks like for our New Zealand Army recruits? Say no more.
From barrack rooms to shooting training, close quarter battle to lifelong comrades - this is a day in the life of our soldiers in training.
#Force4NZ #NZArmy
Meanwhile recruits at Kapooka still be sleeping on the same beds since the Vietnam war
Even the IETs have rooms like the Bora war😂
Looks like vacation compared to USMC boot camp
The marines are supposed to be tough and angry they're our vanguard force. They need that extra bit of ferocity to weaken the will of opposing forces. The army should be stable but firm as it's an occupying force.
@@NotEvenOverThere you have no clue about warfighting, your comment screams “I have no first hand experience with my opinion” lmfao
@@OklaState2 go easy on him man 🤣 I get what he's saying , however it has no relevance in the comparing to the comment. Serving for two years before being med sepd has taught me that the more speed and intensity you become more routine with , the greater efficiency you will have as a unit in military operations against opfor or other campaigning objectives.
These soldiers got what most of us wanted on a 96 libo
@@jfox.three6 haha 2 years!!
Dude it really does, this looks like a better version of mct
That was the whole NZ army shown there
😂
Kiwi army*
I mean, you're not wrong.
haha we have more
What about the woke squadron . RAINBOW SQUAD MOVE OUT
Bro ....I'm retired US Army ....looking at this makes me wanna go try this for some reason 😂
You will get the shock of your life 😂 just because nz army doesnt make movies or post training videos online it doesnt mean it doesnt happen
Yeah almost as soft as the modern US Army
Uh yeah you don't have too work BS jobs for a substandard living wage because the top 1% took all of the money in the past 50 years?
@@marvet-ix9bkYou are so badass bro
Clearly they wanna advertise it so more people join and clearly it’s working coz everyone is fooled 😂
you know, ive been in the US army for 15 years now and we were lucky to get 4 hours of sleep at the minimum and it didnt have to be consecutive, i get that some people feel that soldiers around the world should be held to some same standard that the US is but a lot of these forces train a lot more than we do and their leadership has earned the respect of their troops, so instead of shaming them, look inward on our own potential faults
Add on the fact they look more motivated , look like there treated better and not like kids even when we have been in a hot min, correct they deff train more verse all the bs we did besides training. I with what you say for sure brother.
Clearly they wanna advertise it so more people join and clearly it’s working coz everyone is fooled 😂
@@Madghost07 lmao 🤣 if it works it works. Psyops does have it perks.
Smaller military also often means better trained
@@Madghost07 the lack of unnecessary yelling helps 😉
God bless you guys and thank you for your service.
Much Respect and Much Love to All Nobleman who stand up and Serve...Warm Wishes to You &Yours this wrap up to 2022
The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force wakes up at 06:00, roll call at 06:05, starts work at 08:00, lunches at 12:00-13:00, finishes at 17:00, and finishes at 17:00-18:00. Dinner, bathing from 19:00 to 20:00, roll call at 22:00, going to bed at 23:00.
Interesting, thank you.
Me just awkwardly watching as I realise I literally get up at the same time as them daily 💀
Appreciate your Service
Thank you for your service whanau and protecting Aotearoa. Much respect 🙏
So relaxed, looks like the Hilton compared to Wagga Wagga.
*USAF is requesting your location.*
Damn y’all’s building are nice
Unchanged since 1983.
Good preview lads
When I’m big I wanna be in the New Zealand army
Good on ya
Same here mate!!
Mate same here but for the Aussie Air Force!
@@mydogiscute10 haha good stuff laddy
Why would you want to serve in the NZ army? This country has stripped citizens of arms turning thousands into criminals overnight, coerced thousands into taking experimental medical procedures by threatening their study and employment, in doing violating the Nuremberg code like the enemies that our grandfathers died fighting.
Do you want to get deployed to some desert and see your friends get killed just do you can pull out after 20 years and leave 75 billion in military equipment to your enemies? When you shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
This is the entirety of the New Zealand Army
Is it weird that I actually miss those hot box breakfasts??
Not at all! I miss it damn near every day
Nah bro, 3 weeks in the feild eating vege tagine and fukn morrocan lamb is shit compared to bubbles and squek piping hot ready to eat, no hexi needed.
The fact that this is nicer than the airforce says something
Our airforce is non existent lol
@devora oh wow, 9 helicopters, and thank your local council and government who didn't invest in infrastructure, where half of napier is a flood plain lol
Can confirm, U.S Air Force veteran here, NZ has it MADE
@@jah5594 because they opened the floodgates on the dam but didnt say anything because people died
God my days were PT, drill, more drill then range work then starch ironing greens and polishing parade boots until midnight.
Soft like butter. Then I saw it was NZ and it made perfect sense.
This is a vacation to me,I used to sleep at 11 PM and wake up at 1 AM for breakfast
I don't remember this when I was there, If ur not marching your running, chow was in the mess hall and u were 4eva cleaning sumthing
They ain't training killers anymore, more like police officers with basic combat skills.
Dude...that looked like the most pleasant basic training ever.
Life looks easy as a recruit now
That’s me when i’m 18 straight to the Army and then hopefully when i’m more experienced try out for the NZSAS
Go for Oz instead. Better pay and you'll gain actual combat experience instead of walking around pulling sheep out of snow .
What is OZ? @@Mark-ou6fv
God bless my country, good bless our servicemen and women
do you mean to tell me that other countries actually care about their troops living conditions?? holy fuckin marine corps
Because they don’t actually use them and they’re a fraction of our size.
@@legendofman12 First in. This comment kills it to those we understand it
Clearly they wanna advertise it so more people join and clearly it’s working coz everyone is fooled 😂
@@legendofman12 Fooled lol
New army of New Zealand recruit ,god bless to all
There were WAY more pressups and standing out on parade/moving in platoon 30yo NZ territorial. Also now they have drawers which is nice.
But the rest seems accurate. Not that you go to the range every day.
Hey which week has green tabs for NZ 'cruits.. we had yellow red and blue at band camp (kapooka)Aussie
.bayonet fighting was done on recruit course but hand to hand was done in the unit for combat Corps ..
Jezz it looks so easy these days, wake up just before 6!! the dream!!!
Why's everyone so calm and smiling 😂
Because it’s easy now 😂. Wasn’t many smiles in 08 when I done it and we had it easy compared to the 90s and early early 2000s
Clearly they wanna advertise it so more people join and clearly it’s working coz everyone is fooled 😂
Because there was a random person with a big ass camera that just stood there recording
Breakfast looks like something Dad would make...
What a happy life
They gave y'all bread?? 💀💀
They don't give y'all Bread?
They've come a long way from the days of being housed in condemned buildings with a lino floor, that needed to be polished with only 1 polisher or a broken polisher.
Where's the concrete floor, run down, ablution block with sloping barrack room floors.
Holy crap, these guys even have matching, low and tall boys, lol.
At least they haven't got that soft, they still make bedrolls.
Why arent the food trays put on a table?
Cause we probably don't care. Food is food, if it's in something it's fine. In nz, the floor is as much of a table as a table is, just two rules, never step over food and never reach over food.
I’m the Australian navy recruit school we were up at 0430 for PT and lights out was 1030. That was 2014 though so maybe somethings changed. I expected the army to be doing longer hours tbh
Jeeze I don't think I smiled in the barracks once during basic.
Yo they wearing both US Multicam Patterns and UK Multicam Patterned uniforms.
thx for the service 🫡 may God be by your side
Mate you wake up at almost 6 bloody hell literally half the morning is over 😂
Why is the food on the ground though?
to strengthen back muscles :)
This seems chill comparatively can I join
Eso es un relajo
Good
Lights out at 9:30??! Wtf.
Looks like a holiday. Sign me up.
NZ ARMY!
Ah this must be what happens when the defense budget is properly distributed to also help it's troops
What kind of haircut standard is that from the NCO/ Staff?
probably off the collar and behind the ears.
Compared to our service, this is like a faculty campus...
Clearly they wanna advertise it so more people join and clearly it’s working coz everyone is fooled 😂
New Zealand, the safest country in the world....
Holy shit, there's like 40 people there! What other Army is there with them?
Rock solid people the Kiwis.
Pura disciplina
Looks fun loo
I always wondered when the ladies had their period , there is any special breal time for it? If they don't change on time, that can lead to infections, etc. Just curiosity, those topics are never touched.
That’s so good
Damn they gives these guys LOWA boots in basic. They gave us shitty USGI standard combat boots. Heavy and super uncomfortable.
Nice. How to jion
Nzdf website
Make sure you have your experimental billy jean therapy shot
Kapooka in au is far far more intense than that looks like playschool
Where’s the name tags on J Hats lol.
Taken off for this lol
Not sure why but I feel like this characters name is either Dixon or Smith
24hr clock must be broke
We'd be cleaning rifles for hours on end for no reason in the USMC hahaha good thing NZ doesn't waste time like that
You would be wrong haha. We even would wait at the armoury for hours waiting for it to open haha
If we had beds like these in Croatia I wouldn't come home even for holiday family would come to me 😂
Nothing better than floor beans
Eso es un paseo un día de campo frente a lo que vive un militar del ejército colombiano
Aye do you not have to run in the corridor anymore???
I wonder, is the recruit training syllabus same as for ADF?
I wish I work in the NZ defence force
I’ll be seeing you guys in February!
Wow lights out is at 9?? For cadets where I'm from lights out is at 10 to 11
How come no standard pjs or something
because they're professionals not prisoners.
I'm not from nz but I kinda wanna join now
nice
More or less like when i was at school
You guys got helmets during ya punchywunchys lucky
That's a late start to the day. I would have been back from a run and having a shower by 0600. What no bayonet training? Too aggressive is it. Also, don't you use 24 hour clock?
NZ Army is small but thats because nz is small and not many enemies NZ has
Only 2 main reasons im considering joining the army for or 3years is so 1 main factor i can say im ex military and 2 gives my life some excitment so ik i can say i did that and a bit more for my self to remember before i pass lol and this was great till i saw u had fight people
Hey why is the food on the ground?
I believe the general Mess is currently getting worked on, so personnel can’t use it (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
The mess is where the Soldiers eat*
@@daniellowe5420 thats a good guess, you're probably correct.
My guess was just that we see floors as much as tables as tables are. Food on table, food on floor, doesn't matter so long as it's in something
I think that it was at a period of time when Covid was around, so they had to close off the mess hall. Hence the heating trays on the ground.
That ain’t some officer camp is it?
The NZ Army uses the MARS-L correct?
yes they switched from the Steyr AUG several years ago
y'all ain't got a table to put yo food on? that's gotta be the toughest part about this i imagine lol.
Though they still produce good soldiers, especially for a country that hasn't been at war since its inception (america say whaaaat) this must be fine enough lol.
Who edited the clock? The military work off of a 24hrs clock not 12hrs clock. Standards people!
Why? They know what time they use, we know what time they use, but not all civilians can read the time they use, maybe it's editing flair
@@r0xdab0x96xo you're probably right but why change it for civies? If they can't read 24hr then they can watch a yt clip and better themselves
@@scottandchels6813 True, I mean exposure and repition is how we learn, though I wouldn't call that a reasonable point for constructive critisim. Where we have one editor doing a 12hr clock, there are probably plenty more that are doing 24hr clock.
@@r0xdab0x96xo all good, Onward.
probably because this is directed towards civilians for recruitment
Do they get to contact their loved ones and how often?
Depends on ncos and what training but usually once a week
Did the NCO gently wake everyone up?
They get to wear civies. And go to bed at 9 WTF
Are you training to fight the sheep?
here, in Indian army, cadets get hardly 4 hrs to sleep.
this bed is so gorgeous hahahaha, you need see the brazilian forces
American Airforce recruits ?
I wanna join
What is this? Camp Snoopy?
Lol im up everyday at 4!😢
I am a frikin kiwi am so proud of my ppl 👏😍🔥
Times changed. 2002 we weren't asleep before 11pm and training went waaay past 5pm. Soft . 1822 and cleaning boots? If only.
