I'm pretty sure there were actually only 2-3 different tapes at Sony, and all that diverse model line was nothing more than a marketing trick. The in-depth technical description refers to what 99% of customers don't nearly understand, neither they have capability to verify. Furthermore, even if there was a difference between these tapes, it couldn't be noticeable with low and mid grade cassette players.
THEN WHY DID THEY PUTTED DOLBY A B C S, AND HX-PRO ON THE CADSSETTE DECS. AND EVEN THE MPX FILTER. AND THAT FILTER IS NOT ON EVERY RADIO. FOR BETTER SOUND ON YOUR RADIO.
this guy's voice is making me feel high !
i watched every second of that. so interesting. and those walls of boomboxes and cassette decks... tc-k777, tc-k88, tc-k75... gosh.
I still have a 10 pack of UCX still in the wrapper and 5 ones that I used and they do produce excellent sound.
As they once said “If music be the food of love, play on. Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken and so die.”
I used a UCX-S tape in my TC-FX44. I still have them.
I''m still trying to figure out how they got the spools to turn.
