Alternate timeline: Originally written in 1979 for the Off The Wall album, was put on hold due to the album being almost finished, so it was continued in 1980 for consideration of the Triumph album by The Jacksons. It was produced by Michael and co-produced by Randy Jackson. Despite it not being finished, Michael then called for Rod Temperton to rework the song to have a late 70s esque feel like it was originally. Then by late November 1981 to February 1982, the song was finally completed. The final product was presented to Quincy Jones and thought that it didn't fit the 80s style, so it was scrapped. Eventually, there was a plan to release it on the posthumous album, Michael, but those plans fell through unexpectedly.
