watched an interview TJ did last year and he talked about the filming of this video. He said he and his brothers were nervous in the filming and that Michael was just being a crack up. I rewatched this video and I can see it now. LOL, it's like MJ was so comfortable and teasing them. All of the nephews have come a long way. If you listen to TJ's new songs that he has put out recently he's only gotten better in the years. Best wishes to all of them, they've been thru alot, but still have given us their gifts of musical talent.

Michael would tease them during parts he'd walk up on them individually but poor Jermaine caught it the most & sometimes Jackie was in it with Michael. 2 clips J5 performing Never Can Say Goodbye on the Nipsey Russell show catches Michael messing with Jermaine w/Jackie laughing and the other from a 1972 performance where Michael rolls his r's during the performance of 'Going Back to Indiana' & again Jackie is laughing. Uh! I miss Michael so much. He made me smile throughout this whole video. He's definitely the greatest entertainer in the whole wide world, no one will ever compare.
His soft voice, the way he injects a rhythm in an otherwise smooth song by pronouncing the words a certain way (like "people" for example, or "winter"), the hiccups to punctuate, the feline like way he bops his head, the childlike playfulness to break the cheesiness of the song, and that powerful stare that invites you at the beginning of the song.... All this being so effortless, flowing.... I still can't fathom how one person can be so talented.
I love the music video, Why. I love the interaction between Michael and his nephews. I also love the story behind the video. TJ has said they (3T) were so nervous about filming this video and they wanted everything to be perfect. Their uncle decided to do impromptu actions during the filming; such as placing a leg on TJ. I think Michael was trying to put them at ease so they could loosen up and not be nervous. I have great admiration for Michael's sense of family and how much he loved and cared for his family. Michael was a true professional entertainer and he always made sure his dance moves and his singing was always exceptional. In the case of this video he loved his nephews so much he decided to do silly things to make his nephews feel more comfortable and relax a little and have a good time and enjoy the event and the process of making this music video. I believe this has to be one of their most treasured moments that they were able to spend with their uncle Michael. What an AWESOME momentous event to treasure as Michael's nephews! There was so much more he had to offer to the world as an entertainer and caring human being; as well as a great loss to all his family. I pray that Michael is resting in peace and smiling on all the accomplishments his brothers, nephews, Janet and his children have achieved and will continue to do their best to keep Michael's memory alive and speak out about the way Michael was disrespected by many media outlets and some continue to do so just to keep selling FALSE information to whoever wants to believe the LIES. His soft voice, the way he injects a rhythm in an otherwise smooth song by pronouncing the words a certain way (like "people" for example, or "winter"), the hiccups to punctuate, the feline like way he bops his head, the childlike playfulness to break the cheesiness of the song, and that powerful stare that invites you at the beginning of the song.... All this being so effortless, flowing.... I still can't fathom how one person can be so talented.
So well put, I just don't agree that the song is cheesy
Michael Jackson is irreplacable , maybe one day its possible to bring him back to life. Its needed.
You can just see how happy he is to do WHY with these nephews and how proud he is of them
I love the music video, Why. I love the interaction between Michael and his nephews. I also love the story behind the video. TJ has said they (3T) were so nervous about filming this video and they wanted everything to be perfect. Their uncle decided to do impromptu actions during the filming; such as placing a leg on TJ. I think Michael was trying to put them at ease so they could loosen up and not be nervous. I have great admiration for Michael's sense of family and how much he loved and cared for his family. Michael was a true professional entertainer and he always made sure his dance moves and his singing was always exceptional. In the case of this video he loved his nephews so much he decided to do silly things to make his nephews feel more comfortable and relax a little and have a good time and enjoy the event and the process of making this music video. I believe this has to be one of their most treasured moments that they were able to spend with their uncle Michael. What an AWESOME momentous event to treasure as Michael's nephews!
There was so much more he had to offer to the world as an entertainer and caring human being; as well as a great loss to all his family.
I pray that Michael is resting in peace and smiling on all the accomplishments his brothers, nephews, Janet and his children have achieved and will continue to do their best to keep Michael's memory alive and speak out about the way Michael was disrespected by many media outlets and some continue to do so just to keep selling FALSE information to whoever wants to believe the LIES. Michael, your fans will NEVER believe the negative comments - voiced, written, printed or taped. WE KNOW BETTER !

This is an exceptional video for many reasons. So great what you say Deborah. I love Michael's style in this - being the huge star, never stealing the boys' thunder. Seeing this on 25 June as I mark and celebrate all things Michael on his anniversary
