There's been plenty of worthy praise for Brad Fiedel's outstanding, repeat-listening-worthy, SO atmospheric (San Francisco, middle of the night) theme commented on with the handful of other "Midnight Caller" Main Title, theme music UA-cam offerings. Here, a 'shout-out,' a praise to BBC1 for "letting the music play" throughout the entire End Credits. NEVER, NEVER on "Midnight Caller"'s three-year run on NBC, 1988 - 91, did American viewers experience the pleasure of that BECAUSE vocal, on-air promos for other of the network's shows consistently and abusingly played over the music.
That wouldn’t have always been the case. Just happened to be on this airing. The show is on its first re-run here in the UK since the original BBC one and it’s pretty good.
