What about when you need more magic pen and you already bought void staff? Would you still avoid buying morello or would you buy it then? Just curious since Im not sure what to do in situations where the enemy team just builds a ton of MR.
Ludens Passive + Shadowflame + Void Staff + Boots was already four MP items, 5th Raba and the last Item Situational

if you need so much magic pen then it mean that you are against full tank or tanky bruiser compo and so you take cosmic drive i think for cdr and ms boost, and anyway if its not the case you shouldnt focus the tanky one and so having more pen is "useless"/not usefull.
Shadowflame and voidstaff should be enough magic pen to overkill any squishy. You should never need morello, especially if you run first strike since it does true dmg
From my experience, Morello is a huge bait, terrible gold investment, some huge dps champs may benefit from it but for the rest i don't think is that good. GW suck ass right now, and the rest of the item is just stats, if you can benefit from just stats, you're probably winning anyway
Just remember that Morello's (and Shadowflame's) magic pen is flat, not %, so if you need more damage to high MR targets those items are kinda useless, it's better to either build high AP items to get more value out of Void staff or high Ability Haste since more frecuent CCs and shields may be useful against tanky enemies.

I'm trying to like first strike but idk, I have to give up the domination tree and those runes are just sooo much value. I find by the time first strike starts making bank, the game is just over and if it's a long game domination is better because it's basically like having an extra item, while with first strike you just end up with full build plus a ton of gold you can't use.
