What? Organize seeds!!!! Seeds are everywhere! Bottom of my purse, backpack, canning jar, shoe box, ziplock baggie! All of the above!
😂😂😂 same
Just had my wisdom teeth out today and this video has cheered me up! 😊
Bindweed is purely evil. I love cosmos toooo! I need to start a bunch more for the fall garden. Some reseeded in my veg beds and I am going to transplant them.
This past winter was my first time ordering seeds online, boy did I go nuts buying way more than I could plant in one season! I organized them in photo boxes in order of planting time, but after the first round of seedlings were planted I still find myself putting the ones waiting to be planted as soon as I have room or are next in line (sunflowers/cosmos/zinnias) in a basket lol! Re. zinnias, I decided to test 2 trays under grow lights and will also direct sow to test that method. Thank you for another fun & helpful video Robbie!
Hi Robbie. I'm in my 2nd yr growing a small cut flower garden. I love the bootstrap farmer products. I didn't even know about them until seeing your video from before. They worked so well and are all clean and ready for my next wave. Seedlings finally all planted out. I have a not so green thumb. Watered from bottom as you suggested, dumping the water out. The plants are getting huge.
Hi Robbie! I love your seed box! What a great gift from your sister. I love the basket, too. How do you bottom water the 72 count tray that you showed first? Does the soil just fall through the large holes when you lift it out to dump the excess water from the tray? Also, how do you keep from getting soil in the smaller squares? Thank you so much for sharing!
Robbie you have a long way to catch up with me. I have two of the big photo boxes packed full of seeds. I’m going to have to buy another box this year. You can never have enough seeds. I really enjoy watching every day.
I love seeds planting so satisfying and exciting!
Hi Robbie, how's the plants you started for a broom and loofah?
Hi Robbie, do you still have those cattle panels that you used as an arch? Maybe you could grow the pumpkins up that. It would be fun to see little pumpkins dangling.
I love using plastic colorful photo boxes they fit in a large case.
Love your "seed organization day" 😂 i have been trying to organize my seeds for 2 years now but my seed organizer is still sitting in the back of the shelf 😅 and that Guayaki (love the mint though) is what keeps me going the whole day in the garden too 😅 cheers!
I ordered the seed organizer....I very much needed one. Thank you for sharing that.
So I am not sure why people don’t like to plant the annual morning glory in their yard. it is nothing like the perennial glory and the bindweed. I have I think three different morning glories growing this season. I do not have that “split second” one that you showed. I must try those.
Oh my gosh!!! I just ordered my euphorbia seeds and am so excited. I had never heard of this variety until I saw them on your channel last year. I love them so so much. Thank you for all you do.
Good video!
Hey Robbie! After zinnias and cosmos bloom and you collect seeds do you have to wait until next season to plant them or can you just plant them right away if your growing season is long enough? Thank you for all of your hard work on this channel! I always look forward to your videos and I learn so much ♥️
Thanks Robbie. 💐💚🙃
Starting my seeds on Saturday. Zone 5b. Must do what one must do.
Very informative
I have gotten rid of bindweed. All I did was a daily check and constant pull up of the weed as it grew. It was gone in one year.
😮 oh wow. This is so great to know. Thank you for sharing that. I will have to do that too.
Love the Bootstrap products! Thx Robbie
Wonder if cutting into BIND WEED instead of pulling and applying Bonide Stump Out would work its way to the rhizome and taking it out? 🤔
I need Mountain Snow Euphorbia. Thanks for the tips Robbie.
Curious why you don't just leave the seed trays outside to start growing? That would eliminate your need to harden them off. Is it just so you don't have to water as often?
That seed box is perfect! Seeds should be kept in the dark, cool & dry. Those photo containers seem soo cool, but they let light in, & can heat up & condensate too easily.
Fun video, Robbie! Thanks!
Dear Robbie, I can only start scenes in a seed tray, otherwise the bugs eat them, especially those pinch bugs bootstraps. Seems like a really cool company then check them out. Thanks!
Curious...... do you keep your plant tags that come with purchased plants? I tend to keep one of each kind of plant that I purchase for future reference. However, they are just thrown into an empty unused pot and when I need to reference one I have to go through the entire pot to find the one I am looking for. Do you keep and organize your plant tags on purchased plants?
I keep some of my tags in my garden journal for future reference. Good question.
Try a 3 ring binder with clear plastic trading card sleeves (9 pockets per sleeve)
I was hoping you would show putting the soil mix in the tray. I bought those after seeing your video before. But how do you fill the main holes and not the small ones? Stupid question probably, but....
I have one box for my flower seeds and they are divided into winter and spring and then I have a box of veggie seeds for winter and a box of veggie seeds for spring. I have a cart with drawers for my seeds and other gardening supplies.
Good morning Robbie and Brent! Thank you for this video!! I have been wondering, because I am starting flowering plants from seed! So far the Love Lies Bleeding, Red Yuccas, Gomphrena, and Celosia are kicking butt 😊 I am in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast!
Hi Robbie! Thank you for this. Are you going to leave the seed trays outside? None of the various seeds I planted indoors in trays emerged this spring, but the same seeds planted outside in a container or raised bed did. I'm tempted to plant in seed trays outside. So Cal 9b here. 🙂
wow - that vine is doing wonderful on your fence........LOVE watching and learning from you....... where did you get that Seed box?? Love that.
Morning Robbie, thanks for reminding us that it's not to late to start more seeds. Do all the Bootstrap pots and trays have the large hole in bottom? I want to order different sizes but am especially wanting to have the ease of the larger hole for removing the plants. Enjoyed the video!
Robbie- I know you like to cook, so how do you cook your beets? I am not a fan of the beets. My mom forced me to eat them as a child and so beets traumatized me, however I am willing to try. Also I live in your zone, so is it possible to start seeds now without grow lights? I love cosmos and sunflowers too!
Hi Robbie, how are the plants you started for a broom and loofah?
Great seed box, from where did she purchase?
i have a seed addiction too!!!
now that tou have such a great sead orgenizin contayer, I would advies you to label compartments per what you van saw per month with subdevisions flowers , herba en vet or any other catigory. This makes it easy to make spesific monthly decisions without searching. 😃saves time
alzo of you have old seeds klip them together by expiery date.
❤
I’m starting seeds now too. We have Scrub Jays that like to eat my cat’s food, my zinnia & sunflower seedlings that I direct sowed & they even took some of my plant stakes!?!🤦♀️
How do you not get dirt in the spacer holes? 💐💚🙃
What happened to your gorgeous, fabulous "Love lies bleeding" hanging plant ? I thought you planted it from seeds, also. Was it hard to take care of? Any pointers you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Are you direct seeding them.
I am missing something cannot the link to the seed box. Great video!
It’s linked now. I totally forgot 🤦🏻♂️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
My iPad is dying, no smart remarks today 🤓💐💚🙃
Somebody was laying an egg 😂
I used my sister's handmade garden journal to store all my seeds until I used them. It got so fat but now is not so much! I hope yours helps you too! I let my carrots go to the next year, then it comes up Queen Anne's Lace!
Do you ever direct sow seeds? If so which ones do best direct sowing? I’m not much for growing vegetable & my garden is a container garden. Just trying to come up with ideas to garden cheaper. 😳🪴❤️
