Hi Shelbey! I am a 67 years young makeup lover who enjoys your content very much, and I have always loved liquid and cream shadows. Have you ever tried Mally Beauty sticks? They dry down quickly, but once dry they do not budge!
These are really nice and were my favorite till I tried Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in oyster pearl then I just never looked back. But the Mally Sticks when you buy in the bundle are a great value and a really nice product.
*Shelbey, what about Mally's Evercolor shadow sticks? Have you not tried them?? QVC has 5 packs around the holidays for, like, $30 - 35. The shades are gorgeous and they are bulletproof after about 20 to 30 seconds of play time. If you've never tried them, you totally should! I think they're $25/each at full price.*
I got one in a boxycharm and love it. However, I can't find them anywhere besides direct. Nothing on QVC right now either. Looking into caviar sticks more due to this.
Thank you for another fun and informative video, also I love your classic beauty. I found your videos about three months ago and I am continously rewatching them. I am severely eye makeup challenged and switching to cream eyeshadows (Caviar sticks) has changed my life!
Shelby, thank you for the thorough and honest review! I'm 38 and a huge makeup lover with more eyeshadows than I can possibly use in a lifetime. I recently find that my powder shadows crease and disappear on my oily mobile lids (with dry browbones) so using a shadow stick underneath helps with longevity. I've been using the nudestick shadow sticks and sometimes the maybelling tattoo liquid shadows as a base. Seeing this video, however, makes me want to give MAC pots and the Ulta cream shadows a try! Thank you for the information and swatches. Stay shiny!
Like you, I would love to see more, much more variety in the shades available. I didn't even know that elf did cream shadow sticks (I shall have to see if they are available here in the UK). Great vid, thank you so much for sharing ❣❣❣ PS : Highlight of my day = hearing Max giggle 😍😍😍
Thank you for breaking these down for us! Love me some cream shadows. Have you tried Focallure sticks yet? Would love your thoughts on them. I'm currently liking the shades 01, 02 and 03. 👍🏼😁
Lovely video, concise but descriptive. I really can’t watch certain influencers (who shall remain nameless) that just bang on about trivial fluff that takes an hour or longer. Your content is honest and very helpful💕
Nyx jumbo pencils man, they're old school, still around come in loads of colours, brights, metallics and they're cheap, I own maybe 8-10 if them and they're great xx
Shelby, love this video. I am a 70 year old who loves makeup and skincare. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in oyster pearl and use it every day. I don't mind the price at all because it does not dry up and lasts forever. Also, the formula is very flattering for more mature eyelids, so I will keep purchasing.
I hope you do better with them than I do….still fighting with them to stay longer than a couple of hours….I’m switching different primers to see if that helps…..
Hi Shelby thanks for the video. I am cream eyeshadow fanatic too my current favorites are Sydney Grace and Danesa My Rick colour fix. You should try them . Thanks!!
Always here for what you have to say. Always listening 🎧!!and hold up!! How freaking gorgeous do you look right now!!! 😲 Wow. And love love hearing sweet baby noises from Max.
CT is a wonderful cream shadow- I have a few but will not buy anymore until I can see/test the colors - online it’s difficult to see but Tilbury has changed the names of a lot of products and this makes it more confusing for me. I have purchased some Almay eye creams- these stay on and are easy to apply at a fraction of the cost.
Great video! Love the Caviar Sticks. Something new that I love for one and done is the Kosas 10 Second Eyeshadow in Globe. So pretty, just enough shimmer and so easy to apply.
I love this! And you look prettier than ever, mama! I’m so glad you mentioned paint pots-they’re incredible and I hardly hear them talked about anymore. Have you (or has anyone) tried Revlon Colorstay or Maybelline Color Tattoo (both in pots)?
I had the color tattoo in the high roller shade. It would crease a little bit on me for full day wear. The color is gorgeous. (41. Light, dry skin.) It had a little too much glitter for my preference so I switched to Phytosurgence Wild Oak. I prefer a satin and this formula lasts longer for me.
Hi Joanna, I recognize you from Cate’s live chats. 😉 I have the Maybelline color tattoo in creamy beige (matte) and Revlon Colorstay in creme brûlée (shimmer). The Maybelline feels more like a Mac Paint Pot: a bit tacky going on, but has great color payoff and is long wearing. The Revlon is less creamy, even tho it’s in a pot. I still like it and it lasts a long time, but I find myself reaching for the Charlotte Tilbury or Laura Mercier caviar sticks if I’m looking for a shimmery cream base or brow highlight. My new favorites are the Vieve Eye Wands - I’m waiting for her to come out with more shades.
Thank you for a great review of the cream eyeshadows. I bought three Caviar sticks Amethyst, Blossom & Fog on your recommendation and they are so quick & handy. It’s a pity they are so expensive. I also like the Laura mercier Jean but I have to prime the eye lid first or it will crease.
I mainly use cream shadows thanks to you! My favorites are the Caviar sticks, Bobbi Brown, Armani Eye Tints, and Charlotte Tilbury’s Eyes to Mesmorize.
I have the Laura Mercier sticks & love, going to get a CT pot for sure. Did have some Armani liquid shadows I loved but just threw away bc old. Did however look up & saw new ones & wanting to check them out.
I also love the color of this one especially for quick looks, but unfortunately it doesn’t perform very well on me. Tends to get patchy and doesn’t last long at all. Wish I could find a similar color in another formula!
Glad you mentioned this….i just ordered the taupe to try as i can’t get the Caviar in Cocoa to last past a couple of hours. I’m going to mix the taupe and the Maybeline Smoky brown pencil…that pencil is so good!!
I actually like the Nudesticks shadow stick as a primer to make my powder shadows last. I have a very oily mobile lid but dry under eyes and dry browbone area (with eczema!) and find that the nudesticks help make my shadows last. That being said, I find that the mattes last longer and better on the face (I use taupe as a contour and cocoa as a bronzer shade).
What I’ve seen of Glossier products, my impression is that it’s a an anemic line trying to be high end. I’ve not tried any products yet. The Cloud Paint and Boy Brow get high marks, but I just don’t get the hype that seemed to be there for a while. Charlotte Tilbury is another brand that tends to be overpriced for what it is. It’s not really the quality, though-it’s the AMOUNT of product-kinda stingy.
both Bobbi. brown and Laura mercier are now $30 ! a good brand similar to Auric is the Kokie brand...cream on bottom and powder in case top. the liquid shadows are also good. don’t forget Kiko and Julep- I run around swatching!
Have tried or heard of shadowsense. They are cream to powder eyeshadow by senegence? Long lasting, you can mix them to make your own color. Check them out
Have you tried the essence melted chrome eyeshadows as a one and done shadow? They are so good. Also you must must must try the tom ford naked bronze duo, also shade platinum and the Victoria Beckham shadow in honey. Auric shadows launch again on the 8th! Can you review the new beauty blender skin tint?
I ordered the Loreal Briliant Eyes in Rose Gem from Amazon and received it today. There is quite a bit of glitter fall out and it was a bit splotchy. It buffed out okay but I added a powder eyeshadow from Milani's Pure Passion rose gold pallet to set.
@@HugsXO thanks for sharing! I tried the ELF ones and they were splotchy and horrible lol luckily only $3 wasted... that's why i was hesitant to try these. 🤷🏻♀️
Great review,.so helpful! I would have personally rated the Kiko higher than the Elf one. The colors I have last even longer than the caviar stick on me. I really need to try the intense range on the caviar sticks. I also like the color Tatto the copy of the mac painterly is a fantastic base for me.
Agree. Elf have nice shades but the formula just slides off. Kiko is more longer wearing and more on a par with Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown with their shade range too.
The Bite Beauty multisticks are HG status for me. I have about 6 of them and would just be over the moon if they would bring them back. The colors, the formula...Chefs kiss...they were perfection.
Super fun video! My 5/5 is Armani. They are one and done for me, no primer needed, they blend themselves and last forever. And I only buy them on sale - cheaper than BB or LM. 😉 I returned the L’Oréal because of the glitter bombs everywhere.
Hi, love these kinds of videos. I'm a big lover of creme eyeshadows. Nudestix, Trinny London, Danessa Myricks, Rituel de fille and supergoop creme eyeshadows are missing in this vídeo. Would be of interest what you think of it. Best regards from Antwerp 💕
"ULTA Matte Cream Eyeshadow" - "Ulta's 2-in-1 Matte Cream Eyeshadows *combine the benefits of an eye primer* with a beautiful range of matte eyeshadow shades. These waterproof eyeshadows won't crease or smudge and wear beautifully day or night."

Thank you for your review. Will try out some I haven't yet. Tom Ford cream eye shadows, especially the Cream and Powder eye colours are so fantastic as well. Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise are my favourites. Just bought By Terry. Waiting for them to arrive.
Hi Shelby I wish you would have added the Almay cream eye foils. They are really great, long lasting, hypoallergenic, tons of colors, and affordable.Maybe next time.
I believe they're discontinued - I could not find them anywhere online when I went to search. I filmed a review of them but removed it because people get irritated when I talk about too many discontinued products lol
I have 3 (midnight sapphire, magnetic pull & copper chic) E.L.F. No Budge shadow sticks. They go on beautifully but need numerous initial applications to get much color and after a few hrs they are creasing and looking horrid on my mature eyelids. Will be returning all 3, however, I'm looking fwd to trying Armani in a matte during the Sephora sale and one of the Ulta cream eyeshadows.
Shelbey, if you have advice for makeup gifts for maybe over 60+, I’d appreciate it. Many of the immunocompromised still cannot go to a makeup counter and their makeup has expired. I’m just guessing on gift ideas. Anyways, any recommendations would help. I am not divulging my mom’s age, but I’m looking for a gift for her.
Hi Shelby, I love cream shadows. I have seen comments about Nude sticks so I’ll skip that one. I discovered through Kacke the brand Phytosurgence. Ironically I’m Canadian and they are a Canadian brand just a stone’s throw from where I live, so I feel a little dumb not knowing they existed. It’s a indie brand and I LOVE their shadows, cream blush and they have a very interesting highlighter formula. Excellent customer service also.
Such a helpful comparison - thank you. The only one I find a different result with is the By Terry, whilst having gorgeous colours, they go patchy on my lid after only a short while of application. It’s so bizarre! Did anyone else find this?
My favs that ado not crease, stay forever are Kiko (the ones in a pot, not stick), Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow and CHarlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise.
You got me hooked on the caviar sticks over a year ago. Today I went back and looked at an old vid of yours and wore cocoa and intense amythist today. I need to get Orchid and intense moonlight or rush.
This was an excellent and very thorough review. I too had Amber Haze. Didn't reach for it. Tried other colors from her line and didn't reach for them. Ended up being an expensive learning lesson. Hard (for me) to beat Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown. Charlotte T's all tended to dry extremely fast on my skin. Boom, done. Very little blending possible. That was their biggest downfall. You did a great job with the ton of info you presented. Thank you!
I wish you could see my message before the comments section gets fulled :D about mineral foundation, have you try the sephora microsmooth foundation? in my country it's difficult to find the bareminerals one :(
Thank you, Shelbey for showing these and especially for putting the links here so that I know where to find them because I didn't know the names of some of these , aside from the Cabiar, and Bobbi Brown sticks, even though I'd seen them shown before. Looking at those Glossier eyeshadows, I'm not even sure how I would wear two of those Shades. One's way to light and the other way too dark the third one looks like it could be used in combination with others. Many selections here!!! 😎
I love cream shadows so this is very helpful. I haven't bought too much new makeup for a while and looking to pu a few things. I kind of got complacent with my makeup and was just doing the same thing for a while. Moved a while back & temporarily lost my higher end pots. Found them today & they're a bit old now & alittle dry 😞
Loved the video and the selection of cream products. Is the Ulta beauty eyeshadow similar to the Rimmel wonder cloud liquid eyeshadow? Can't get Ulta in the UK :(
It's so funny how differently things perform on our lids, and the things that are plusses to one person would be a negative for someone else. Which is why these videos are so helpful! Personally I find the Thrive sticks and the Glossier liquid shadows (not the ones you showed) are perfect for one-n-done subtle color for the office. They're my "I don't have to think about it" makeup for work. The Armani eye tint used to be my tip top favorite but I reallllllllllllly hate their new packaging. Very sad, I still haven't been able to completely dupe #9 cold copper.
Laura and Mac are the best. But I love also Armani eyes to kill stealler, omg, what a spectacular, luxury effect! Revlon also does great ones, like "praline" or "chocolate"
I heard the Vieve shadow sticks are AMAZING and have lots of mattes. I also heard the rest of the line is beautifully formulated. Would you consider reviewing so of her products?? Sending you oodles of love

Wow! Thanks...that was great! Short, clear & to the point...you covered it all in a mini-primer...a HUGE help! Yes, Nudestix please! Thanks again...
My favs that ado not crease, stay forever are Kiko (the ones in a pot, not stick), Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow and CHarlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise.
Favorites - Bobbi Brown Vanilla, Sand Dune, Taupe, Golden Bronze, Dusty Mauve.
You got me hooked on the caviar sticks over a year ago. Today I went back and looked at an old vid of yours and wore cocoa and intense amythist today. I need to get Orchid and intense moonlight or rush.
Orchid is so beautiful on green eyes! 💜
Rush is the most unique long lasting duochrome color.
@@kayade5305 agreed. I did get it and use it mostly as a topper to a taupe matte and it’s gorgeous
Thank you!
I wish you could see my message before the comments section gets fulled :D about mineral foundation, have you try the sephora microsmooth foundation? in my country it's difficult to find the bareminerals one :(
I don't know if they are available in USA but Korres shadow sticks are amazing !!!!
Have you ever tried Nabla’s Cupid Arrows? They are very long lasting and reasonably priced too.🥰❤️
Shelbey I would love your take on julep eyeshadow sticks. You have converted me to cream shadows so I'm curious!
Shelbey do you like the smash box always on, cream shadows? I picked up two shades and just wondered if you like them?
I have Glo Skin Beauty & Julep eyeshadow sticks. Have you tried any from that brand? (I also have Bobbi Brown)
Ok found it ❤️
I might be losing my mind, but I was thinking you did a video on trinny london cream eyeshadows. Maybe it was somebody else. 🤔
Can't get Ulta in the UK :(
I nominate you to start a campaign to bring back the Bite multistick. I love the matte formula too for my eyes. I miss this product!!!!!!!
Surperb Shelbey you’ve certainly given me more than enough choices that I’d love to try. Thank you for all the hard work you do, 😊
Yes,Mally? Nudesticks? Cover Girl has some, I think.
Have you tried Lancome’s cream shadow sticks. They are my favorite.
The beauty pie sticks are good too. Also Jillian dempsey eye tints are good - more sticky but still good.
Laura and Mac are the best. But I love also Armani eyes to kill stealler, omg, what a spectacular, luxury effect! Revlon also does great ones, like "praline" or "chocolate"
Loved that Praline shade from Revlon but they dried out quickly in their pots for me :(
@@ShelbeyWilson really? I have mine a long time and its great!
Love Revlon "caramel ",it is dupe for Armani eyeshadow #9
@@lanatroste1541 wow, i'll check this. Thanks!
I heard the Vieve shadow sticks are AMAZING and have lots of mattes. I also heard the rest of the line is beautifully formulated. Would you consider reviewing so of her products?? Sending you oodles of love
