Sandhya aunty I really enjoyed listening to this composition. I love the long both raga and lyrically. Below are my answers to the quiz given in the description.- Deepthi S. 1. 18th Melakartha ragam Mayamalava Gowla 2. Abheri, Anandabhairavi, Arabhi, Bhairavi, Desh, Dhanyasi(one of my favorite ragams), Huseni, Kadanakuthoohalam, Kambhoji, Kedaragowla, Khamas, Maand, Madhuvanthi, Mukhari, Poorvikalyani, Sindhubhairavi(one of my favorite ragams), Varaali(My MOST favorite ragam) 3. Muruga Muruga, Bhavayami Raghuramam(the pallavi), Kari Kalabhamukham, Venkataramanane,... In all these compositions, what I've noticed is that the ragam brings out a feeling of a spiritual longing/mercy. The krithi Muruga Muruga really evokes this feeling as it states, "Even as I utter (“enrAl”) the words 'murugA, murugA' will your (“unran”) heart (“uLLam”) not melt (“urugAdO”)?" starting in the pallavi itself. In the devarnama "Venkataramanane Baaro" "nirdayavEkO ninnolage nAnu ondiddenu bArO= why are you mercyless,I am one with you, come" is said. In all these comositions, the composer is expressing the karuna rasa which is very suitable for the ragam Saaveri. 4. Bhardraachalam is in Andhrapradesh. It is that Lord Rama along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshama had stayed in this village during their exile. 5. Panchamam/and or madhyamam I really enjoyed listening to this song. :)
