I can definitely say that some partying type music I have been listening to has gotten me in a habit of a drink every evening. I was slow to connect the dots. Praise the Lord.
Delight yourself in the Lord, keep yourself in the Word. Pray all of the time. Ask for deliverance and healing! Read scripture. Listen to Worship songs even if your flesh doesn’t like the way it sounds, listen listen listen! Eventually you’ll find it easier to let go of worldly music. If He can do it for me He can do it for you!

After covid, I stopped DJ'ing and making music because for a good few years before I stopped, I always felt empty and not happy with what I was doing but didn't know why. More recently, over the last few years I've become more in tune and sensitive to all the lyrics in the other music that I mentioned and didn't feel good about it and noticed it definitely effected my mood and behaviour. Long story short, I deliberately searched for gospel alternatives to all of them. This is all I listen to now, and I'm convinced that it has made me much calmer and more peaceful, along with many other changes that I have made in my life over the years. I literally can't listen to gangster rap, sexualised R'n'B and pop music, and also rock music, most of which is laced with the Devils' words; anymore. There are alternatives. I have massive spotify playlists full of them now, and I won't ever go back to listening to all of the trash. We try to feed our bodies with nourishing foods. It's the same principle that we should be applying for our minds. I just wish I realised this sooner. Would have saved me a lot of mistakes in the past that I had no idea were linked as I didn't have the capacity to connect the dots back then. Praise be to my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. ❤

Wow, I have been feeling convicted about listening to worldly music. Today I listened to some slow R&B and I was like this must be okay. There aren’t any bad words in this. But, as I continuously ask my Father God each day to fill me with the Holy Spirit, there are certain things that either I can no longer do, or if I do them, I feel immediately convicted 😮 I know that is the Holy Spirit inside of me ❤ It is not worth it to drift away from my relationship with my Father God to continue to listen to this worldly music. I thank Him for His favor and mercy 🙏🏾❤️ He is truly the greatest love that we could ever have 💜

Today i came across a song that was already in my playlist, i dont even remember selecting it. (A sign from elohim?) Anyways its a great song. But it drove me to get a beer. From my experience as a saved Christian. I realized Songs can manipulate your reality. For example, a love song can drill the lyrics into your mind by combing it with the melody and then repeating it in your mind. Because of repition, it will become your reality.
