The last win of the first season back in Oakland. Had NO IDEA that we'd go from 8-2 to 8-8 that year. Set the tone for the return back to Oakland, sadly.
At 8-2, the Raiders were a popular AFC Super Bowl pick. Honestly, can you really blame anyone for thinking so? At that point, picking OAK for a SB run wasn’t an insane idea
The main reason they dropped the last 6 of the season was because Hoss was injured against the Cowboys (Chad Hennings, on a sack) and he was out of the season. Otherwise, I think they probably would've went around 10-6/11-5.
The only two games they really were competitive in were against the Chargers and Broncos. Billy Joe Hobert started the Broncos game and he and Vince Evans combined for 4 TD's and no INT's. They still lost. No, that team was doomed to implode.
Thanks for putting this together! 95 was the first year I played fantasy football. When I saw that you had the celebrity death match playlist I knew I had to sub.
Shawn Thomas, Sr. I'm not a Raiders fan even as a kid but Tim Brown, the late great Chester McGlockton was one of my favorite players in the NFL at that time. I have A Jeff Hostetler and Tim Brown Starter OG 90's jerseys from LA/ going into Oakland in 1995. Old school all day.
This was the same day that Seahawks and Jaguars got into a shootout game so did Bears and Packers up in Lambeau so did the Bucs and Lions and the Rams 1st game in the Trans World Dome against Carolina and the 49ers said " Mama Said Knock You Out" 'LL COOL J style as they destroy the cowboys in America's Team Town in a Late game, 1995 was the most exciting season ever in the 90's as a kid. Dick Enberg ,Paul McGuire and Former Giant Phil Simms on his return to the Meadowlands on the call for this game on NBC at 1pm,😁🏈. Jeff Hostetler the Super Bowl 25 hero return to Jersey to face the Giants, after this the Raiders ......all hell would break loose as the " Marcus Allen " curse kicks in more ways than one ( older fans know what I'm talking about) .
dxrulz4life and 1996 was disappointing Espically the finale against the Patriots on that Saturday which cost Dan Reeves his job. I do have a 1995-1996 ' Starter ' Dave Brown #17 Giants jersey, I'm not a G-Men but I deftinely know my Old school football history, Rodney Hampton, Chris " Cab " Calloway, Charles Way, Phillipi Sparks,Thomas Lewis ,Jesse Armstead, Keith Hamilition and lot of people in young Giants fans don't know Michael Strahan was on this 1995 team, he came in 1994. 🏈 Old school all day and I'm repping the Dave Brown for the NFL 100th anniversary season this year no 2000's shit only 80's and 90's nfl gear and no Tennessee Titans in my closest, always Houston Oilers. 😁
Terry McDaniel and Albert Lewis were a great CB duo.
RIP Dick Enberg & Chester McGlockton

This was Herschel Walker's ONLY season (1995) with the Giants 🏈
He was a nice little role player for them.
What an announcing crew: Dick Enberg, Phil Simms, and Paul Maguire
Maguire is annoying. He belongs on a golf course somewhere yucking it up with other 90 year olds
Very underrated trio. I could listen to these three guys all day.
1st Raiders4life!

Brown taking punts AND leading the team in recieving.
Jeff Hostetler played against his former team the Giants.
And simms the former starter in front of hostetler calling the game
Raiders were lucky to win this one. That slight tip at the end saved them.
Dave brown had no business in the NFL
I was at this game, man was it cold

Jason WAlker Strahan played in 1993.
Sorry my memory a little off and he was under Lawerence Taylor wing in 1993.
By chance do you have 1995 Week 1 Chargers @ Raiders?
Good call
