They nerf Kratos height 8 ft to 6'4, and shortened the length of chains of Chaos' Blade. Kratos is also less leaner now and lost his v-taper. Vengeance mode is also disabled, making him merciful and holding back in fights.
I think my problem with the GOWR swords is that they glow too little. Ever since the first GOW they made them brighter every time they level up, so when I see them now I automatically think they are weak or they are at low level.
I highly agree it would look better, but it would probably be more difficult to see other enemies from different angles on camera due to heavy fire effects
Nope still prefer the simple effects of the blades of chaos which is why i prefer the blades in 1, ascensions and the new games less flashy no over the top much effects bs that blinds the movements when fighting. More simple more appealing to the eyes in my opininion

God of war 3 has always been my favorite game of all time but I do love the new ones too. I feel like the older games the blades were his main weapon and he was filled with more rage so he used his weapons differently while the newer games he’s honed his skills and he uses his battle prowess to fight instead of anger and rage
Just went through GoW3 again a few weeks ago. Still an incredible game. The visuals were so far ahead of it's time when it came out on PS3. Granted it's the remastered version now but it just shows how amazing it was for it's day because it looks great today. Some mechanics haven't aged as well but as whole it's still a ride any fan of the new God of Wars should give a spin. God of War 2 will always be the GOAT in my opinion but 3 is very close.

i just played 3 again after completing Ragnarok. 3 is just a better game for me. Way more arcadey and hack n slash. Plus there's more weapons. Combining the claws with the blades, the Nemean Cestus, the Hermes Dash to launch them in the air, the Nemesis Whip to keep them there etc etc. The combos are just more fluid and better.

Gowr is great except for the fucking camera, that's still the worst decision of new gow because it makes the combat focus on single enemies with less carnage and makes it harder to dodge everything when there's enemies you can't see behind you and ones that teleport around and jump over you

GOWR Kratos isn't that harsh and inpatient. He makes more energy efficient and shorter quicker moves so his enemies cannot react. He's more like a planner rather than Kratos smash

The new games aren't slower, the attacks just have more weight to them. The direct comparison shows the speed is near identical, but GOW3 is more lightweight while Ragnarok is more like swinging an anchor on a chain.

God of War 3 is the Blades of Exile and has very fast speed with a rage filled Kratos level 5 max with every attack being a skill instead of runic attacks how Ragnarok's are better because it's actually the Blades of Chaos. They appeared in way more games, in Ascension they could use Ares, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades's abilities and you can use a gift of Apollo runic attack in god of war 2018 and create meteor showers in both 2018 and Ragnarok, they are primordial blades which means they aren't bound to Greece like the Blades of Exile are it's been confirmed that godly powers vanish if the pantheon gets destroyed but primordial power is beyond the universe so they are able to go to any pantheon even of the pantheon they are with is destroyed literally has the essence of Chaos and the flames of Tartarus and Surtr, and Level 10 Blades look way better and are more powerful and you can get level 10 grips. So lore wise the Blades of Chaos are so much better than the Blades of Exile but in terms of gameplay you can have your opinion as this is a comparison between 3 and Ragnarok not the whole lore.
Nah remake the first 2 with modern graphic capabilities, clean up the existing animations but keep the timing the same. The Greek trilogy wouldn't work with 2018 and Ragnarok gameplay, and the 2018 and Ragnarok camera wouldn't work with Greek Trilogy gameplay.

The way the screen shakes slightly with each hit in the old games is missing in the newer ones.. making it feel like Kratos's has gotten weaker
