      I have to say I was rather impressed with how well it did right out of the box! I assumed it was going to struggle more out on the real rocks but it did very well! I can see why you ended up with so many tiny trucks!!! FMS is nailing it on the looks and the performance of this one and in general from what I have seen.

    I've had this one in my cart for a long time at Aliexpress but I never have pulled the trigger. I really should because it looks awesome. I love the retro Blazer body style. That's awesome that FMS sent it to you! I've never cooperated with them.

      It is a really nice looking truck and I was very impressed with how well it handled both the indoor and outdoor areas, especially the rocks outdoors! I thought for sure it was going to struggle a bit out there! I was rather surprised when FMS reached out and I am working to get a coupon code for them to help with the price too! I have the other kit coming up this time next week! Take care Ryan and have a great week!

    Now that little thing is really a capable mini crawler, the indoor rock course it looked like it was going to tip over but didn't. I like the color and the detail that FMS put into this crawler. Great video, take care and stay safe.

      It really did well and surprised me how well it handled the outdoor rocks and it really did well on the indoor course. Overall it is great little truck.

    Cool little rig, Addam. Not gonna lie, I was pretty impressed at how it handled those rocks outside. The suspension travel is impressive! Right!?!?! Me too, I was very surprised it went through all the rocks without much trouble at all! I figured it would do ok inside but it really shined out on the rocks. The little crawler mountain I mad does really well for some indoor fun!! It was not really hard to make, messy as heck but it works great! Even the cat likes it. He sleep up next to it when it is laying in the floor, why I don't know but he does!

    Very neat little rigs lot's of great detail in them I like the authentic body roll aswell but it's a bit much at times if the body is top end heavy looks great but rocks like a boat if it has any momentum it pulls the car over this is where I like a few dobbs of light oil and put the shocks back on upside down will keep the roll but slow it down those beadlocks and tyre's will do wonders rc cars only get one run stock by the second they're always modified, we know one guy that unboxes in the car on the way home sometimes this first run is modified lol great video Addam good to see you out with a crawler again 👊

      Hey there Mark! I was very impressed by this one. I though for sure the outdoor rocks were going to give it a fit but it handled them really well. I do like the wobble but you are right, it just needs to be tamed down just a bit! I will get the shock re-done with a bit of oil. I think with a few mods it will be an absolute little beast! I am not a huge upgrade guy but for the crawlers they usually need a little bit of weight and attention and then they are a lot of fun but I did want to run this stock first to see what I was working with. It is a great start!! It will be back out fairly soon and the other kit will be up next Wednesday! Take care mate!

    • @AddamsPlayground
      @AddamsPlayground  7 місяців тому

      It is really an impressive little truck. It did way better than expected for having the hard body on it. I made the little indoor crawler course from 2 inch insulation foam, the blue shop paper towels, Elmer's glue and sanded grout. You glue and shape the foam to what you want and then soak the blue towels in a glue and water mix and pot that all over the top of it like a paper mache. Once that is dried and trimmed you cover the whole thing with a coat of sanded grout of whatever color you want mixed with water and glue. Makes a really tough and grippy place to drive on indoors and it slide up under my bed! I am glad you enjoyed the video Robby, take care!!

    G'day there Addam😃🙋‍♀️. We've been hanging out for these FMS's!!. What a great looking truck👌. I like the servo mounted on the diff to keep the weight down low, I'm no crawler expert but it makes good sense👍. We just checked online and there's a tonne of upgrades available😁so much potential!!. That works so well on your indoor course!, stock as a rock too, impressive👌and absolutely looked right at home outside. Thanks a lot for sharing your unboxing Addam👍, its definitely a good one for Ingrid and I. Looking forward to more on it annnnnd to to what's in the other box😁🙋‍♀️🦘🇦🇺

      Hey there guys! I was very impressed by this little guy and it ran way better than I expected. I assumed with the hard body it was going to handle fairly poor and roll over a lot. It did very well and with the addition to the brass wheels and grippy tires it is just going to get better. The axle mounted servo does help it out by putting that weight lower and they did a good job making sure there was not interference in the suspension travel. I may grab some other upgrades but I am not sure what I will get, I does well now so it may have to wait until if something break to warrant getting anything. I am glad you enjoyed the run and the other one will next Wednesday. oddly for a change I am a bit ahead of schedule and already have Saturdays video scheduled. I am sure it won't last long, not m style usually! LOL! Take care guys and have a great rest of your week!

    I’ve kept my original box as well for long term storage and protection on extended trips.

    You did an excellent review. The truck looks great and performed well. When you had it inside and ran it on the side of the obstacle I expected it to fall off. The problems I have with is the friction shocks and the price. The price is about the same as the TRX4M and higher than the Ascent 18 and others. The quality of the FMS products are great.

    • @AddamsPlayground
      @AddamsPlayground  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it! The shocks will take oil, you just need to add the o-rings into them and add a few drops of oil. I will do that for the next run just to slow the wobble down some, I like a little bit to make it look authentic but not to the point it looks drunk LOL! Body wise I have to FMS the slight edge, the TRX4M bodies look good but this compare to the bronco is a lot if difference. I also hate Traxxas batteries. With the FMS ones I can use my regular charger without any crazy mods to charge them and the Traxxas one I am stuck using their supplied charger. I am not a fan of proprietary batteries at all. I just got the Typhon Grom and I hate the battery... The Ascent 18 is a ton better on the rocks but it is bigger and has the very pain body. It looks good but nowhere near as good and detailed as this. Like all them there are five and takes for sure. I was very surprised on how well it handled everything and it looks great. I am trying to get a discount code for them too! Take care Michael!

      @@AddamsPlayground The body is exceptional and many scalers love these trucks. I hate the special battery plugs. I have seen some adaptors for the TRx4M. One is an adapter that will plug into the receiver and on the other end is a connector for a balancing plug. I don't see the special adaptor a a big advantage. They had to know that five minutes after it came out people would be selling adaptors. One of FMS' coolest looking trucks is the Magnum 18, which is an old school truck. It looks like a pickup from the 50's. It's under the Roc Hobby name. It's not a crawler and it's slow from what I read.

      LOL, my stubby little toe thumb... Yeah the turn signals are silly but I know some people like them, I just find them rather goofy for an off road truck. They headlights are the warm white (yellow) to mimic the old school headlights.

    Turn signals are unnecessary, because the only way is 👍!

      Yeah, the only time I have seen turn signal out in the woods is if someone got jostled around and they hit the turn signals by accident! Then it is just funny as you know they just experienced a big "oh crap" moment in there!

    FMS is making a terrible work. They are at the conquest of the world (this is cinese way to make war) so many fantastic models. This is super (may be oil dampers as on the Unimog) and super perfectly studied for the USA market and not only as this car is a must worldwide. Bravo to FMS but hurry up home factories pay attention! Ciao, Nanni

      I do have to say they have been cranking out some very detailed and great looking kits over the last couple years. I was very impressed with the looks of this one and also the way it handled both the indoor and outdoors areas. It really did well and much better than I expected it to out on the rocks. The shocks it comes with you can add the o-rings into them to make them hold oil. I may do it and add some very thin oil just to slow it down some, I do kind of like the body wobble out on the rocks as it looks like a real truck would sway a bit crossing them. Maybe slowing it down a little would be better. It looks easy enough to try! Take care Nanni!
