I can see the Sea Wave having non-navy applications like environmental monitoring (water temperature, O2 levels, acidity, PH, etc...). The energy self suffiency method is simple but effective and actually generates more energy in high sea states. I'm sure there are other gadgets like this in the world because the idea is so simple and easy to implement but I'm glad to see that the big money in defense is actually considering this.

US Navy's sub surface warfare capabilities are second to none and one of the few domains where our superiority is still unmatched and will stay like that for a forseeable future. We've been investing in an incredible classes of submarines, from the Seawolf class to Virginias to the future Columbia class boomers and last but not the least - preliminary work has started on the Virginia successor, the SSN(X). Combine that with the an advanced array of anti submarine systems, from Poseidon plane to sono boey to advanced anti submarine tactics and procedures and lastly these unmanned underwater systems, and you get a force that is unmatched and feared around the world.
But there is one weapon system that was neglected for years and hasn't been keeping up with an advancements made by our enemies. And that is torpedo. Our only advanced heavy weight torpedo is the Mark 48. Although it was upgraded numerous times its still a 40 year old design torpedo. In other words it doesn't have a wake following capability which is crucial for a modern torpedom and our adversaries are fielding them.
And then there's an elephant in the room - we haven't developed a supercavitating torpedo with speeds of more then 200 mph. Wake up guys..

US has always preferred stealth over speed when it comes to it's weapons. This has been the case with it's missiles as well.

3D printing (or extruding) propellant would be more interesting, since then individual charge "packs" wouldnt need to be used, and safer storage could be designed.
Mk54 is a bandaid solution to a very old problem. Its tiny and useless interms of parity naval opponents.
HAAWC is useful and practical, so it wont be put in service.... unless its attached to a porkbelly program like F35. Columbia also looks like an effective and practical way to finally patrol the retarded 200 mile line Americans claim. So it wont be put in service...
Echo voyager would be interesting if it had a good AI or used a glide capability. Unknown for what purpose though, as covert ops cant be automated. In the same vein SWCS and P-LARS is interesting. I guess cutting international telecommunications cables is becoming more difficult.
Wave glider is similar to something other countries have, glad that America is considering the technology.

((I guess cutting international telecommunications cables is becoming more difficult.))
Well who really want to make the international trade/commerces and bankers as an ennemy. Except a group that want shift the ruling system in this world...
Those who can play muscles are not really interesting either to stop/ending their show.
