a slight lowering on the rear can be nice on modern trucks where the beds are too high to load, but then your bed is crooked so most mechanics with new trucks would opt to lower the entire truck by a few inches
Every lift, you buy comes with both rear and front lift kit unless you buy a used one and you know your buying half the kit, squatted trucks are mad becasue they look cool and they aren’t as bad as people make it be yes they’re are terrible examples but if you look at the better ones they look good to the average person.
@@TheSoup222222the worst examples cut the rear frame to lower it down even more than stock to accentuate the squat, then install a lift kit in the front. Also need a straight pipe exhaust and driving on the limiter everywhere
If you know, Whistling Diesel, then you know how much he hates the Carolina squat. He made enough of a bother that it’s now illegal in some states because of how unsafe it changes your car/truck.
I saw quite a few when I visited Tampa Florida and Austin Texas. Most stayed hundreds of feet behind vehicles but there was one tailgating a mini car in the right lane of a highway of all places :/
Squatted trucks come from towing, where the load is so heavy the rear suspension goes down. Squatting is mostly done on Heavy Duty pickup trucks, where the towing squat is common.
@simsimw on Donut media, they said one theory as to why some squat trucks was to copy baja trucks in some way, but I think people just do it for style points
This has given me idea to expand on squatting trucks, to expand on this idea first; Squat your truck, add truck nuts, and glue a moby huge to the bottom.
I just made a video called "Why are Squatted trucks so controversial" It's literally about to be uploaded to my channel lol. Funny timing, I just started my channel so my videos not perfect and I'm running beamng on a i7 2600k 😢. But lol, Great timing
Thank you for making this video. I see both squatted and the 4:43 style vehicle locally in my area way too frequently. It's gotten bad enough that the neighoring city, which is a tourist hotspot, actually started citing them. Also I was under the impression that higher profile tires are actually better for fuel economy, making them desirable for electric vehicles.
It’s nice to hear your area’s doing something about them. Luckily my areas biggest ‘problem’, is overly sized daily driver trucks. But at least most of them can safely see the road in front of them. Also the low profile (thin tires) have a lower rolling resistance and therefore better gas mileage. But they’re more susceptible to blowouts and a rougher ride.
War crime bluebuck with Mr. Bean inspires 😉 I remember seeing that absolute beauty of a truck in West Coast. Near the burger joint… Stopped by for a meal but my eyes were no longer hungry as they feasted on the glow of those delicious rubber band wheels.

Donks and squats aren't interchangeable, infact Donk is actually a type of car, a late 70s Caprice or Impala, named for the impala symbol looking like a donkey, hence the Donk name. The style of a car with a lift kit riding on 22s and up is called 'riding on stilts' or high risers. I don't like squatted vehicles and think they should be banned as drivers can't see pedestrians, which is a safety hazard along with a whole bunch of other problems. High risers, on the other hand, aren't as dangerous and are more just not liked because some people don't like the style.
here in North Carolina, the squat started because people liked how their cars looked when towing large things. So they decided to start ruining their cars lmao
I got a mod that adds really big suspension (gamers pickup parts) and I put them on the front and raisef them to their maximum height, and then the truck was actually so horrible, it was like 50 degrees in the air. Also pls link the mod of the testing course you made
I think the south and north Carolina squat equivalent make it look like trucks that have a load in it, but built by people who doesn't want to hurt thier 2005 Chevy Silverado bedwith a actual load, sucks as it pretty much ruins a truck in style and mechanical condition
People who only lift the front: BURN People who lift the back of their truck for actual cargo reasons: K, reasonable.. you retain visibility (might even make it better)
The squatted truck acatully originates from donks, like box chevys and other normal dink vehicles if you look at them they all are leant in the rear it makes steering on 24s easier so the front is lifted and rear isn’t it makes you lean back and feel cool.

I think sqautted trucks exist because the people were too broke to afford to lift the front and the back, so they choose to only lift the front lol
I spoke to a mechanic who pointed out two rear suspensions stating "they only wanted the front half". Sometimes it's more money than brains XD

Crazy that the moron who would destroy a Ferrari F8 Tributo and build the biggest monster truck ever would also get squatted trucks turned illegal
I demand royalties for inventing the squated vehicle in Beam.
Here in NC and SC I see some sqautted trucks. The drivers cant drive for shit and they also cant see shit cause of how the truck is.
