Hardlex is perfectly adequate for a dive watch that’s actually used for diving. I’ve never had a problem diving with any of my watches with Hardlex for 10 years plus.

Like Rob, I have the orange dial version of this. These are excellent value watches, especially if you can get a little discount. I can't get along with the bracelet, so I wear mine on a Hirsch Liberty strap. I like this new white-silver dial! As always, great review Rob!
This might be my favorite color of the SSK GMTs. It's like an opaline white dial. But, seeing it in person last week, the silvery sheen of the dial does show. It works to pass as a "white". But, agree, a stark you're white would be better and welcomed.
Just got mine from Trifecta as well. Only thing is the bezel is not as tight as my blue one I got a few months back. Not sure if it’s an isolated defect but the bezel moving on its own is annoying
I can agree about hardlex only if the person has a separate beater watch for activities where scratches are a possible/likely. I have watches with hardlex and sapphire -and the sapphire’s saved me from scratches when mineral has not. And unlike acrylic, removing scratches is not easy from mineral (but not impossible unless deep). At $475, Seiko should have sapphire crystal and ceramic/sapphire bezel IMO. Why? The market has evolved and those are increasingly defaults for $500 watches. On the positive side, the watch is very good looking! Great design and watch! Thanks for the great videos!
The lume is like a black car, only good for 5 min... Lume is stupid, eat least the white dial is able to capture faint light so you can read the time. Black dials are horrid when lume is gone

I have two of these. This series was a home run for Seiko.

I can confirm that Hardlex scratches, have one on my Seiko watch

I have the yellow one and I love it.
Handlex is better than my Longines crystal that is scratched due to the AR stupidly being on the outside.

They need the white dial from the snoopy SRPK25, tired of black that can be read in darker environments!
Not a fan of a crystal bezel inserts.
