  • Cone on, folks, give me a heads up and a subscribe! It's nothing for you and everything for me. Thank YOU!!
This is a folding tray stand that I found behind an antiques store. It was poorly repaired and it's twisted. I just wanted to show the use of touch up markers for furniture and I bought the cheapest set to try them out. Worked well enough for me that I can say you can make simple scratch and dent repairs for less than 8 bucks.
The $7.99 part is at 15:33

Great work as always! Very interesting to see all the different approaches to repairing one can take. I would love to see an entire shop tour in the future! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

You might be disappointed in my "shop." The end shots show the stand on my woodworking bench which is in a carport and serves as an out feed for my Unisaw. There is a jointer there and a router table in the table saw top. And lots of metal lockers and cabinets. The rest of the work area is in a 2 car garage that has 2 cars in it 99% of the time. Fortunately there is enough space for other machines that wouldn't do well outside.
I'm in SoCal so the weather allows me to work both in and out of the garage most of the year. If it ever gets rainy here again, I'll have to do something about the table saw. I keep it under an oil cloth and I have left a light bulb on inside before to ward off humidity.
      Anyway, thanks for your comment!

That table polished up very nicely after your masterful repairs, Mr. Zeke. 😁 I also have one of those touch up kits with the markers and sticks and had mixed success with it. You applied the pens with great effect, and I was glad to learn from seeing your application of them. Wishing the best for you during this holiday season my friend! Warm regards, Ab.

Thanks, Ab. To be honest, the name brand stuff works better. More 'smear' time, LOL. but one stick of any color costs more than the whole cheap kit. So it it isn't a critical job, these will do. Happy holiday season to you! And all my other viewers.
