(I'm currently typing this comment out on the Rii RK707 btw) So I love using mini keyboards for my computers and I have quite a few portable keyboard devices myself. I could tell a lot of thought went into the design of this controller/keyboard combo. however I think it really is mainly suited for things like a Steam deck, while dedicated controllers would be significantly better for gaming and dedicated portable keyboard would be better for desktop users that have a couch pc setup (or are lazy/sit in weird positions like me lol, that would benefit from having a remote keyboard). if I could make any changes to this device I would: 1) make a compartment for the USB receiver built into the bottom right, or top middle (preferably) of the device. maybe just a little cavity or something to put the receiver inside so I don't have to worry about losing it and separating it from the controller. 2) allow built in support for the shoulder buttons to act as right and left clicks when in keyboard mode to make using the trackpad a little more comfortable/speedy similar to the rii i4 wireless or the Fosmon mini bluetooth keyboard 3)move the charging port to the top-middle of the device to allow ease of use while charging. 4) make the form factor just a TINY bit larger to make the device a tad bit more comfortable and have space to add pause, skip, rewind, back, volume, power and home button shortcut cuts OR duplicate the exact layout of the Rii i4 on the keyboard side of this device for the same effect. overall, it is a pretty gimmicky device which shows in the comfort in using this for either dedicated gaming or dedicated keyboard/mouse use. But even though it's not "the MOST comfortable thing in the world" compared to the Rii i4 keyboard or a PS5/Xbox controller, I'm surprised by how comfortable it still kinda was despite its novel existence. It's a perfect companion for the Steam deck or similar devices or mobile laptop setup but not exactly perfect for much else in my opinion. But hey it types and it play games as advertised and THAT'S pretty cool to me.
I have had a few of these and really like them. But the last one I bought is slightly different from the older models and causing a problem. The layout is very similar but the left and right mouse buttons have a (dash -) and (equal =). When I press either one, my computer goes 'ding' and nothing happens. On a typing line- I will get dashes and equal signs. I need the left mouse to click- so I can drag things, the right click I figured out how to use without the button. Either way- I can't seem to get any info on how to fix this? It seems like a left/right mouse button would be the easiest/most important keys to use?
Man, please answer me. Does this Joypad have a Gyroscope and Accelerometer? I really want to buy one, but I would need to know if it has this option. It is possible to find out if it has a gyroscope and accelerometer in the Yuzu Emulator. When you set it up, there's a little square in the middle of the panel that moves. If it has a gyroscope and accelerometer, could you make a video showing it? Please.
Hey brother sorry to be a pest again lol but I saw this video I thought the controller was dope so of course I had to purchase it! But for some reason it not working with my pi 4 with retropie I plug in the usb dongle and all it done is blink pink hopefully you can help me once again lol😂
Hey no worries. Should be able to plug in the dongle and then power the controller on it will blink pink for a few seconds. Make sure you have it slid over to controller mode first. Have you gone into configure input to try and map it? What happens when you do?
Yea I tried it when it starts to blink pink a few time then it doesn’t I went into retroarch to configure it in Port 3 it’s doesn’t come up I plugged in a 8bitdo controller also it configure I get to the main page it works but then I select the game It un configured it doesn’t work idk Wht the hell is goin on lol
@@latinoheat251 Got it thats what I thought. Is your on board controls accessible? I would suggest trying to unplug your arcade controls from the pi (just remove the usb cables but remember which one goes into which slot). I have a feeling the arcade controls are blocking any other controllers from connecting. I have heard some usb encoders can cause this issue. If you power everything down and remove those you should boot up to a screen saying no gamepads detected and then try your rii controller and see if it pairs. That will tell us if the encoders for your arcade controls are causing the issue.
Just bought one... was very excited but having tried it today, I am massively disappointed. :( Left analog stick is very stiff and constantly "sticks/jams" in the upper left position. Anyone else have this issue or is it just poor quality control?
quality issue. my analog sticks work fine. the plastic does feel a tad but cheap though. and in terms of comfort, it's not the best controller unless you're on the go. if you're just desktop/laptop gaming at home and have the means to get an xbox/ps5/switch pro controller for gaming and a portable Rii i4 keyboard for desktop mode use, I say get those instead.
@@a7c777 I ended up fixing it mostly by jamming something thin into the stick and wiggling it. I pressume there was some sort of mold spur on the "ball" part of the stick underside that I needed to wear away. Not very impressed but at least it works now. Like you say, the main issue is comfort; this cries out for a custom grip you could insert it into to give it proper "handles".
Dude, stop it, have you ever been happy being this annoying? Nobody likes people like you, the people around you pretend to like you but they all hate you, how did you get to be so annoyingly boring in such a short text?

This video was a great help. Thank you!
This is super cool. The only thing I feel is missing is volume control. Might be wrong though.
You are correct. No volume control keys.
Can be configured with the keyboard portion
@@hoodeez yeah definitely. But the old rolling wheel was probably a better way to control volume
Did you need a driver for that thing with retropi? Or was it straight bluetooth or 4ghz connections
amazingly no one reviewing and mentioned if this Rii RT707 have L3 or R3 button or not.
Good question. That's a big deal.
Check Video at 8:40 where he sets up the mapping
Ofc is has L3 or R3. No usb C though
2:33 he said it has it.
Cool! Time for a new controller.
Yep if you need keyboard mouse and controller this is the way to go!
I had it working on my recall box when I was using the 3 and i recently got a 4. It worked on raspian os but it’s not working on retro pie
OMG.... That is an Awesome devise.. Ordered.. They should be paying you for sending people there way.
Yeah I love their products but this one in particular is such a home run with retropie!
Is the dongle necessary for it to work? Or can it connect directly through Bluetooth
Need the dongle. It doesn't connect via bluetooth.
My works on my PC but it doesn't work when I go to play a game
Hello good afternoon. Is the USB adapter necessary for this device or does it also connect directly to the device's Bluetooth?
Support for Nintendo switch?
Should be but I'm not sure. I haven't tried.
Has anyone tested this on an XBox One to see if it's compatible?

nice
Damn, if theres a Bluetooth version it'll be perfect for cloud gaming on my phone
👍
I am having trouble pairing to my mini computer
I don't think this thing has Xinput mode which means its not 100% compatible with windows

it has keyboad...
it has mouse...
it has controller
the onlymthing is
i cannot afford it💀
If only Bluetooth is added, then it would be perfect. My opinion.
Also needs to switch from micro-usb charging port to USB-C.
@Mrmagoo1077 old stock product. Was released almost 10 years, i believe. So it is using micro usb. But no bluetooth is a no-brainer.
Did he just say abxy is ps1 mapping? It's xbox, PC and dreamcast mapping but it's not playstation mapping.
