Just found your channel, this has nothing to do with this video but I bought a cobra 29LTD Classic back in '97.... several years later, had it tuned, peaked and added talkback/echo....guy doing it said I was going to have trouble with on/off knob.....still running radio and he was correct.....having issues with that knob .....has to be in the right spot for radio to function properly....that an easy fix???? Thx....new "subber".....
Aye mates, were in for a rough sail. Our wave form is billowing out hard in the wind. The runnin' lights are takin' a beatin'. These seas' are givin' us fits. Were slowly breakin' apart and sinkin'. Let's limp her into Port Matt and get it back to into shape. Dry dock repairs completed, let's test her in the wind. Ah!!! I have the Saturn version of this radio and it works amazingly , I have only one issue and believe it or not it's the receiver speaker volume . It is almost to loud and no way to turn it down that I can tell the receiver is clear and really awesome same as the transmit but it's so loud , can anyone tell me if I'm missing something I do not see a volume know and I even tried a Wilson, a ranger , and a cobra external speaker hoping it would be quieter and none of them were . Anyone has a solution for me I'd sure appreciate it.
Nice! Question..I have an old Galaxy Melaka,Fid Galaxy actually make this radio?? Cause nothing on the inside identifies it as a Ranger or a Galaxy..board looks like Galaxy but no print anywhere.
Are you taking mail ins yet? I got a couple radios that i would love to send in to you to get refreshed and upgraded. If you are taking mail ins now how do i get the ball rolling..
Can they be made stable with new/better components? I have this exact same radio, found at an estate sale. I don't mess with it too often, however it seems that the freq does drift. Would like to maybe send it in someday for a checkup/tuneup. Have a love for older "big" radios like this.@@TheRadioGarage

No it was not. Yes the old galaxy radios were and are unstable on ssb
