As a lover of the Del toro movies this looks more promising since the comics are so dark and horror based with elements of action but mainly about big reds stoicism and having to be a detective. This is what i want from a hellboy movie.
I personally don't mind the effects and the tone is great, but I almost need a bit more charm from Hellboy. It was a short trailer, but I didn't really feel HB's "griddy-oneliner-cowboy" charm from the comics or movies.
Unfortunately until someone can convince the executives that a Hellboy movie is worth $300+ million to make… well I don’t think we’re gonna get his 3rd movie. He was trying to do ALOT with it
Del Toro robbed himself of the trilogy. He never completed a script for it. He began taking multiple other projects. And he quoted a film budget with just a stack of ideas that was too high for the studio to want to risk. He let Hellboy collect dust for years while he worked on other stuff instead of working harder to complete the trilogy.
This is definitely a nope they didn't need to do another one imo I'm good regardless of it being a short trailer it's gotta be Perlman. I can read the comics play the games no problem no issues but in film can't unsee Perlman nothing works for me is what it is. It's so damn sad we nvr got that Trilogy 😢

Gotta say... not feeling this at all. I liked the David Harbor version for what it was, but Guillermo was robbed of his trilogy.

Blame the studios. They didn't want give the budget Del Toro needed. It wasn't going to be cheap.
