  • Always remember: disability means you have medical conditions that keep you from working. Keys to a successful claim are:
    1. good, recent medical records delivered to Social Security
    2. an explanation of how your medical problems make it difficult for you to work
    3. honesty in telling your story, and in the physical exam
    4. tests that confirm your problems
    5. your reported problems, doctors' finding on physical exam, and tests all agreeing

Wow that’s how the insurance company got me. When I had wreck breaking 4 ribs having to get a plate on my left side and getting my lip reattached with stitches. Only to have to work construction slimming a slug hammer 2 mothers layer to survive. But I knew my body felt worse than what they said, but it’s the test they did. My back has burning pain all over most times I don’t even know I’m hurting there until I’m touched. But my body just can’t take it anymore. Perseverance, determination, and so fourth can only take you so far when your health doesn’t match it. Lord knows I’m tired

Hi Dr Dave. Thanks for the insight, you seem trustworthy, but what about the other Shills for hire which ppl go to CE Drs for a 15-minute exam and get a bad report. Furthermore, a year ago a CE DDS Dr. concurred with treating PCP and Neurosurgeons reports the person is unable to go back to their job or is unemployable to earn a substantial gainful living.
3 years fighting for the Entitlement my friend is, people pay taxes for all their lives for 47 years working hard, this person is 60 years old. It's ludicrous and unhuman. Dr. Dave you state if you feel or listen to someone and say the wrong thing you will discredit the whole exam. Really, God gave you the brain power to help people not judge them.
Dr. Dave that is totally bias for profit, you can pay your bills but a person you never met believe me as you know your opinion ways heavy on the outcome of their future.
Factual reports and treatments should be 90 percent favorable for the patient, PAIN is real, limitations are real, when a horse breaks a leg most likely they are put down, it seems if a human can't feed that tax system anymore, they are put out to pasture with no help. Damn these pisses me off. People paid into a system for Entitlement that has been robbed and now the time they need it, people are discrediting them.
Dr. Dave make a video on how a human that has these issues at 60 years old that just can't or unable to function to work anymore should get the entitled SSDI benefit they so deserve Sir. Share how the human dies each year after a certain age. yeah, some people have good genetics, but many are born with disabilities at birth Dr. Dave.
They system is broken really bad, there are now Dr.s for profit for their opinion, but the specialists these patients see or the factual medical reports showing severe issues are not considered. It's ludicrous and criminal.
It reminds me of my lord and savior Jesus Christ when Judah offered his opinion which led Jesus to the cross to his death. Many had opinions of Jesus injuries and suffering no one stood up to the system. Seems it still exists today, opinions for profit but the sick suffer and struggle to live out the final days. Over 22 veterans kill themselves daily.
GOD BLESS the disabled and those who serve. Thanks Dr. Dave for sharing insights of CE exams for SSA/DDS.

Yes, Social Security Disability takes a LONG time. People get frustrated. Key things are: don't give up, make sure Social Security gets ALL you medical records, and explain clearly how your medical problems make it difficult for you to work. I'm going to make a video soon about what to do if you initial application is denied.

@@DisabilityExams Hi Dr. what would you think if DDS didn't consider your own treating Drs reports for the past year with his opinion as a specialist, they left it out. Furthermore, DDS added another Drs report that my friend never saw. Also left out recent Mri's that show worsening in the Cervical and lumbar spine? Please do a video if you could on what patients should do when DDS picks or choses reports to make their decisions. All reports were faxed and mailed, so they got them all multiple times. Do you think patients have an issue or attitude when they arrive at the CE.s.
This is happening to a close person to me now. 3 years later his case is going to a judge, but the suffering from his physical and financial conditions that has leaned him towards ending his life because he feels worthless, not getting better, being told surgery is needed and almost homeless after working 47 years. Again, the system is broken.
I hope more great Drs like yourself will help with your opinion get people their Entitled benefits.

I have tried for years to help my daughter get on disability with no luck. I pay her utilities, etc. They look for doctor records and after years with no money, she can't go to a doctor because they require money.

It's extremely hard to get SSI/DI now days. Especially since the War Ended..
I applied myself with over 10yrs of medical records & I was approved on my 1st claim which took 3yrs.
I was an Electrical Engineer making $150k a year, then I was homeless after I was hurt in an explosion. Applicants have to wait a year with zero income, then they can apply. I claimed my back, neck, ears & Spine. The SSA Docs said I had Bipolar & granted my claim. I got $27k lump sum, then $1700 a month plus $697ea for my kids until they hit 18. Now I get $2k a month & I haven't heard from them since being on SSI/DI from the age of 37, 17yrs ago.
My Friend had Cancer & 6 months to live & was denied, my Uncle had a Brain Tumor with parts of his brain removed & he was denied twice & gave up.
Most Lawyers take upwards of 45% of your 1st lump sum payment but I didn't need one.

Can a person file a disability claim if they are fighting thru the pain to work but it is getting worse? basically can a person still be working and file a disability claim at the same time? Especially if a person has no other means of income.

Question, is it true in order to qualify for disability you NEED to have the points( what you have worked) required? What if you do t have all the pojnts but do have health issues that could qualify you for disability based in those issues, what should a person do?

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams  4 місяці тому +1

If you don't have enough points through working to qualify for Social Security Disability Income and you are disabled and poor, you can qualify for Supplemental Security Income. No work history is required for Supplemental Security Income, but you must be disabled and poor to qualify. Work history is required for Social Security Disability Income.

What are some good advice as a 22 year old that is going to a “physical” exam and has club foot which causes a lot of pain for me and I can’t stand for minutes at a time. But also a lot of mental issues? It is physical and mental, but a lot of mental. And Will they only do physical stuff or will they do both? Im just worried because, naturally at my age they’re going to think I’m bluffing when I’m really not.

    • @Mike_The_Hog_A_Nator

      Your best shot is mentally.
I applied 17yrs ago & was approved but I had 10yrs of medical records.
It took 3yrs to get approved because it takes about 2yrs for the claim review but you have to be unemployed for 12 months before applying. Good luck because it's very hard to get DI now days since the War is over..
They are pretty strict. I claimed my back, spine, neck & ears because I was in an explosion. They found me to have Bipolar

It’s going to be very difficult but not impossible. What you need is form
      secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms/images/SSA4/G-SSA-4734-U8-1.pdf
Have your doctor fill that out and the reasons why you are unable to work at all.
