Hadn't seen, or even thought of, X1/9s in a long long time. As a kid I liked those little cars. Gosh I'd love to have one. I grew up in Florida and I seem to recall they were fairly popular I certainly would see my fair share of them.

My brother had one in about 1992...
It was silver with red leather. I remember borrowing it to take a gorgeous blonde out on a date in London 😂

I knew somebody who had one and I had a few drives in it as a passenger. Unfortunately, I was too tall for it and my knees were wedged against the underside of the dashboard.
It drove very well and I enjoyed the drive bit was glad to disembark after the ride.

When I was a young boy, that was always one of my dreamcars. Exactly the same car as in the brochure in the same green colour has been owned by the elder brother of a classmate and parked always close to our house. I was very impressed about those popup lights. In the winter the owner used to drift in the snow on the big carpark in our road. I liked that sporty sound of the engine even it was only a 1.5l from the Ritmo with I think 85HP. The main problem was the rust. My first car with popup lights was the Mazda 323F BG. Today it very difficult to find a good X 1/9. The first Toyota MR2 looked nearly like a copy of the X1/9.

These are brilliant little car's . I rode in one of these as a passenger quite a few times between 1984/85/ a family friend owned a X 19) in black with silver decals/ stripes/ and white seats: our family friend dressed just like sonny crockett from Miami vice, with his pastel suits" and sunglasses" he even referred to his, X 19: as his mini Ferrari" . It was a T Reg. I remember it like yesterday" great memories) I actually enquired about buying a 1989 bertone X19 gran finale" myself fairly recently, but somebody else had 1st refusal on it. And came back and bought it . Thanks for the brilliant broucher review..

I always loved the styling and practicality of the Fiat X1/9. In my opinion, a better choice than any Ferrari. Nuccio Bertone sure knew how to design beautiful cars. It's not often that you find a car of this type to be practical and driveable on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I never owned one.

One of the few Fiats of that time which proved to be more popular abroad than in their own country. It hung on till the late 80s in italy although from the mid 80s it was badged and retailed as Bertone with the Fiat badge being dropped off

One of my teachers had one of these.
All be it one of the later Bertone badged models.
I thought she was the coolest teacher in school with an awesome car.
Little did I know about the rust issues these had. But heh I was young and it looked good.
I think now they can command a good price as they are quite rare..

how did you feel about the black broacher? and the section where you have a small car with a large landscape its very unusual

Never been a fan of black brochures but I do like how colourful the car is shown - a very unusual brochure overall

Looks like a mid life crises car 😂
Even similar to Triumph produced in the U.S with a V8.
Couldn't quite remember the Triumph model that I remember.
Those bumpers sure look American ❤

Very nice video. These are just so nice vehicles. I would love to have one or even a drive of one, they are like an MG Midget but with an Italian flair. I bet being so low down they feel like you're going much faster than you really are.
