- In “God Loves The LGBTQ+,” Pastor Robert and Taylor Madu sit down with Angel and Luis in a heartfelt interview as they relive moments as survivors of the mass shooting at Pulse Night Club in 2016. They help encourage us all to see Jesus in everyone and love the way He does.
“It’s not a gay to straight thing, it’s a lost to saved thing.”
That’s exactly what I tell my nieces and nephews. Just concentrate on a close relationship with God. And he will take care of everything else in due time. It will become clear.
Thank you so much for this. I am 30 years old and a mother of 2. I am also a lesbian, I was told that if I “chose” to be a lesbian, I could not be a Christian so for many years I rebelled against my own faith.
Recently I’ve decided I want my faith, I want my children to grow up with Christ in their hearts. I am studying the bible and growing everyday.
My sexuality can’t and won’t ever change, but I am so glad you’re having this conversation. I can’t go to a church here in the UK as they are not accepting of LGBT but this gave me hope for the future and the example that you guys are setting. Well done! X
"God did not call us to change people, but to love them and let Him do the changing." That is one of the most powerful things I have heard in a long time. This whole thing has moved me so much. I am a real Mama bear and am always wishing we would just hug and love folks into the kingdom-older teens and young twenties especially-rather than try to drag, shame or bully them in. A hug goes a long way. I also really felt it-deeply-when she issued an apology for the pastors that hurt instead of loves and encouraged folks to try again. I'm not LGBTQ, I'm just someone who got hurt badly and have shied away. It makes me very emotional that someone took the time to say they're sorry even when it wasn't their fault. Thank you for that, the apology that never came before. That's just huge. I really appreciate what all y'all did today. Bless Social and the ministry of these wonderful men.

I have been holding back tears this entire video. I almost passed it by and didn’t watch! This was so needed. One of the most BALANCED discussions about LGBTQ+ issues I have heard in a lonnnggg time. As a BELIEVER, it helps me understand so much about what we have missed about loving people in JESUS’ name the way He would love them. The transparency, the relativity, so much truth! I am BIBLICALLY reproved, educated and inspired and I don’t even consider myself to be a homophonic Christian. Thank you all!

My son came to me at 18 yo with his thoughts about being Gay. I felt devastated in my heart, though I wasn't surprised. We talked and cried together. My husband and I remain very close to him. He's now 25. I've listened to podcasts and read several books, trying to learn more about how to deal with this. This, by far, is the best I've listened to, though all have been awesome. Thank you so much!

Mad respect for these two fellas.. As a straight man, some of this posed a GOOD challenge for me to question my outlook on this subject. I appreciate the openness and honesty. It really made me look within and think about the depth of the cross and what it means to all sinners wanting to be cleaned up by the Father.. 🙏🏾

Pastor Madu & wife, you both are a total package from God! At first I said to myself, NOOOOOOO, Pastor! But now I am rejoicing because EVERY church should be doing this. I have a friend who went through the same situation in 2011. She said her pastor in the LBGTQ+ church called her a failure. He told her w/o words if she was giving up on her lifestyle as a gay woman there was no reason to come back. She is now engaged to be married to a man & very happy & they both love The Lord! God does love us all no matter our sun! But when we hear from Him & obey, my God, my God!!!! Hallelujah!!!!

Wow!!!!!!! This is the most powerful podcast I’ve ever witnessed! I was deeply moved and blessed by Angel’s and Luis’s testimony! The way God used them both in a life changing experience and brought them closer to Jesus and now are disciples for Him is mind blowing! You can’t tell me God is not real after hearing their testimony from that tragic experience. But He can make beauty from ashes!! They are opening a door (that has always seemed closed by the church) for a community to be heard, loved on and guided towards a journey to the salvation of Christ. I love this. May God continue to bless them and shower his favor upon them! Shoutout to the Pastor and First Lady for being a vessel and allowing their church to be a safe space for everyone to experience God’s love!

This convicted me so much. I’ve never known if there were gay men and women in my church, but after I listened to this, our pastor preached on “the elephant in the church” and sexual sin of any kind. He was not condemning gay people at all, but I felt compelled to tell him about this video and how we should welcome gay people with open arms, love them and let the Holy Spirit do the rest.
I also apologize not just to gay people but to anyone who has felt like they were not welcome in church by people there. God calls us to love everyone, not just the outwardly godly people. Everyone of us has sin and temptation in their lives- as Paul says, I am the worst sinner and yet- Jesus Christ loves me and will take me as I am, with all my ugliness, and make me a new creation.
PLEASE CHRIST FOLLOWERS LOVE THE LGBTQ like Jesus does.

This is the crazy part bc he was clear about a marriage being make an female so he definitely want you to walk that path he does sees your sexuality let’s not twist Gods words now
He’s not twisting gods word around. True or false if you’re no longer lost which makes you save. And God is the only one that can save you. Then should know everything else fall in place? Meaning you have no more confusion of sexuality. Meaning you know from the shadow of doubt what your God has in store for you. Meaning no matter what you know that you know that you know you don’t have to go through struggles alone.
Totally right! James 2:10. "Whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all. For the same one who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Even if you do not commit adultery, you have become a lawbreaker if you commit murder." Sin is sin an we all need Jesus 100 percent!
I have a gay best friend. She was living with her girlfriend in sin but God released her from it. She still lives with a woman (she was abused by many men) but they are celibate. They live together as companions and follow Jesus. She is the strongest and most precious woman I know.

It is encouraging to hear them once again to know they have remained true to their testimonies and continue to minister to people who wish to exit LGBTQ+. Oh man…. I cried & cried at the end of this. I was hesitant to watch this because I wasn’t sure what the message was going to be. But I trust Robert & Taylor so I went ahead. And I’m so glad I did. It was just what I needed & have been praying for. I can feel the Lord drawing me & calling me for the LGBTQ community, but I’ve really needed Him to work on my heart & my mindset for these people. I’ve been praying, “Lord teach me how to love & see these people the way You love & see them. Teach me how to love without affirming the sin.”

If you want to be saved, obey the Bible, change your ways and repent your sins.

Wow. This was an amazing interview and testimony. This challenged me in a good way. Praise God that He can redeem anyone and that He demonstrated His grace towards you in power, but also that the seed that was planted on you landed on good soil after God had worked the field of your hearts!!
Angel and Luis are so brave and inspiring. I appreciate you and Taylor allowing them to be so open and candid. 35% of my friends as well as several family members are in this catagory. I love all of them but there’s many that don’t and choose to abandon and push aside.

Guys thanks a lot. Everything you guys just said, I went through and have bren through for most of my life. You guys are basically describing my life. Sadly, I haven't found a place to open up about this. Talked to many pastors and leaders and recovery groups, and have received the cold shoulder, ignored, ostricized. I got hurt by the church so much back at what used to be my home church, that it is so hard to open up again, cause of these things. Pray for me that God can provide community. Cause it is Biblical to have community, we cannot be by ourselves. Thanks for stressing that here. Cause even my parents doubt in a way that I need that, they think only God, but we are called to live in godly community.

I am blessed by these testimonies. I want both of you to know, your testimonies convicted my heart that I have become lax in my prayers for my children, grandchildren, and other family and friends. It really made me recognize that we are all living with some form of sin, but we have really ostracized the lgbtq+ community and I'm so sorry that we/I have done that. So moving. I love these 2 testimony been following for awhile. Praying for you both with all my heart. God has you 2 in the palm of his hands and loves, yall so so much! Thank you for continually sharing your wonderful and beautiful testimonies. It's impacted me and has helped me to reach those struggling with this sin. And I know God has called me to reach many in it. I too have a similar testimony except I never engaged in the lifestyle I experimented with the same sex as a child but came out of it by God's grace, and now I share my testimony in how God redeems his people and its as I got older I realized why God put such a burden of this community in my heart. ❤
Watching this brought so much realization that God wants our hearts and wants us to surrender all. I have felt lost for so long both in and out of the church since I was young and ran away from God and caught myself feeding into the temptations of sin. Being apart of the LGBTQ+ community I've felt that I have been cast out of what God's true calling is for my life. I want to be restored and cleaned not for being apart of the community but for going astray and leaving God.
