I would concur Victor - I saw them at Retford Porterhouse ( 1981, I think ? ) and they were awesome - Fiction Tales was one of the greatest albums of its generation x
These very talented musicians could tell a lot about music business, they knew Mr. Branson. I hope, all of them are still well! Why did they stop making such great music?? And of course underrated!
Saw Modern Eon perform at Manchester Polytechnic in 1981. They were excellent. I'd heard the Peel Saturday evening broadcast and was knocked out. The best bands to emerge in that period were The Comsat Angels and Modern Eon. AK
I still have the tape I recorded from the session from this night...a number of weeks before I saw New Order in Plato's Ballroom Liverpool...and a few weeks before he played New Orders first single and b side which I also recorded!!
