4 successful passes in 45 minutes is remarkable from Soucek, that’s a pass every 11 minutes!! The other minute he was losing all those aerial duels. Great show fellas cheers

@@BabblingIrons I hope so too, I wonder if he’s seen enough now to realise soucek and Antonio really limit the way we can play. It’s early into his reign and he needs time but we also need to see some signs of progress, maybe it’s a desire for confirmation bias that’s clouding my judgement ⚒

It speaks volumes about WHU that Calamity Mavropanos continues to be selected match after match.

My ratings as put on Hammers chat Patreon the other day are as follows
Areola 7,Wan Bissaka 5,Mavropanos 3 ,Kilman 6,Emerson 5,Alvarez 8 el Machin is back ,Rodriguez 8 my MOTM we got him on a free wow,Bowen 7 got the assist and better down the better,Soucek 2 for getting his boots on his feet?,Antonio 2 also for putting his boots on ,Kudus 6 much better and more comfortable on the right.Subs Paqueta 7 changed our fortunes and control of midfield,Summerville 7 good down the left,Coufal 5 limited but got a pre assist,Soler 6 it was his debut and a little eager,Ings 7 for his goal and a strikers goal at that.
Lopetegui 6 because he made changes at half time and his changes are done to change positions and patterns of play.First half selection would be 2 1 point each for selecting Soucek and Antonio.Ref a 2 apart from not giving them a penalty but gave them everything else decisions wise.
I think Ings should get a 2.5 as he only scored one goal from his 4 touches.

Too many mistakes that leads to goals in multiple games from Mavropanos drop for me! It’s about time to give Todibo a fair run
pretty bad mistake but the thing with mavros is that he is so involved defensively, when todibo get his chance he's going to have to match that involvement and with less mistakes to keep the shirt - if the opposition a putting in crosses that's going to be difficult for him as he is no where near as good in the air

only disagree on antonio, gets a 1 from me, did a better job than fulhams defenders
an anonymous performance like souceks would've been an improvement
Mavropanos was poor but it definitely was not him being beaten by Traore at the far post 🤣 man is two positions away

I'd love to know what he said irritated you. You say everything but I thought what he was saying was spot on. Don't get me wrong he can be irritating sometimes lol
He was spot on go on Hammers chat Geo did an interview with him
he's a glass half full character, was far more negative in the past but I noticed a change around a year ago, mixing in a bit of praise every now and then acknowledging some of the positives, personally it's made his commentary much more enjoyable - use to think he was a closet spurs supporter with how negative he use to be
No player got over a 6 , it was poor , but a draw was decent .

The most influential substitute (Ings aside) was Paqueta and you gave him the lowest mark. Coufal apart from the throw in was terrible against Nelson.

@@markr878 not sure that’s entirely fair to label us as bias Mark, we just assess football & the opinions may well differ.
That said, I think it’s understandable to get frustrated with some of Paqueta’s decision making, but he did certainly improve things for me - Sloth
@BabblingIrons Hi Sloth. I admit it probably is a bit strong to say bias. I watch you guys religiously because of your balanced views rather than a rant after a game like the Fulham one. I think though what I was getting at is some players seem to get more criticism than others. And in my view it seems to be because the expectations are higher for what they can do. Whereas somebody like Kudus seems to be immune from criticism even though he might not be as influential as he would normally be. If he or Paqueta lose possession one is criticised possibly because of where he loses it but then that's mainly because he gets back, covers more ground to actually get the ball.
Our squad is average at best just like the manager we are in for a relegation battle and will go down with the saints and Everton dark days right now
