How things have changed for the better. I went through 2 adoptions and 4 surname changes including that of my natural father. But that was back in the early 60s. I somehow managed to always be a David. I reverted back to my original surname many years ago.

Can someone still adopt a child in the uk, if they themselves have recently changed their own surname..??

Our son keeps flopping back and forth on his name. His bio parents gave their daughters real names, but just threw random letters together for the boys. I am pretty sure no one else on earth has his name, and he says he wants a normal name, and even picked one! Now he keeps bouncing back and forth. We've told him (because it's true) that all of his sisters who have already been adopted had their names changed. For his safety, I think we'll change his name regardless, but allow him to keep his original name as a middle name. We'll see though.

Can you do a video about relationships with birth family? I know you wouldn't want to share little mans story but is there anything you learnt in adoption training?
Can you do something about what adoption training is like as well?
Your channel is amazing, so informative but also engaging 💖

Hey! Of course. I may do this next year when I’ve had some more experience of contact. I’d want to give an accurate reflection of my experiences. Thanks for the kind words!
