This version is better than the recorded version. Tune just gets better every time I listen to it. Love it!!! Was in a pub in Cork City recently and when this tune started the place literally exploded! ⚡️
At the tender age of 35, I’m only just realising just how great of a songwriter Noel Gallagher is.Surely held up there with the best there has ever been. Just my personal opinion but when Liam is doing the singing I always feel it’s more powerful and I connect with it more on an emotional level. That being said I do really like some of Noel’s versions of oasis tracks, and also really like his high flying birds stuff.
Ah Liam con esta canción me enamoré de ti y de la Banda, en aquel lejano 2000 😌 23 años de ser su fan y lo seré hasta la muerte!!! Grande OASIS ✌🏻🤘🏻👌🏻👍🏻👆🏻
Dig Out Your Soul (2008) was also an excellent album. Everything in between Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and said album isn't quite as good, except for a few tunes. Unfortunately their last album was shadowed by Liam's struggling voice - although he did sound great on studio and small gigs, just like nowadays.
Kittenclaws Guitar Videos Looks, and sounds a bit like him to. Noel said this song is the closest they came to sounding like The Beatles, and I have to agree with him. Absolutely AWSOME track!!!!!!!
@pedritomelo Dude, its A or A7 (whatever you prefer) then the chorus is D, F, G. repeat, blah blah, then the "Is it any wonder why princes and kings" part is D, F, A, Cadd9. then the final chorus is D, Cadd9, then G.
Oasis major ambition was to be The Beatles, and the closer they looked and sounded like The Beatles, the worse band they became. That's a total paradox, I know, but by 2000 they were a much better band, with Gem (who incidentally looked like Paul McCartney circa 65-66), and Andy Bell on bass. They managed to sound at their psychedelic best, and with Liam channeling John Lennon, also circa 65-66, they were Beatles like. However, their best years were 1994-1995-1966 (sorry 1996), when they were a raw band and couldn't help but sounding like themselves. Definitely Maybe specially is pure Oasis magic.
Be Here Now, parts of Standing on the shoulders of giants, parts of Dig out your soul, and their singles from the 2000s were brilliant. So that's 4 great albums plus a load of cracking singles. Not a bad track record
Samuel Newton Good, brilliant or great isn't classic masterpiece level, which Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory were. They became one of the many. Yes, I love Be Here Now, Standing, Dig out your Soul....but the magic was in 1994-1996.
JAMIE LESTER True. And with Beady Eye he made real his dream of having a band that totally sounded like the Beatles and looked like the Beatles and was a quartet like the Beatles...Their photo sessions are hilarious. You could be looking at the Rubber Soul cover. And they were good.
If the Beatles had wrote and sung By oasis songs then all the people that say they aren't good songs would be saying they are masterpieces......which the song already are.
Ahhh yes, that period where John Lennon was brought back from the dead to perform on an oasis tour
😂😂
HAHAHAHAHAH
This tune is so underrated it's unreal, one of my favourites from oasis
Luke Harwood mine too
Agree
Maybe my second favorite oasis tune
It is such a vibe

This was easily their best song on their 2000 album. Also Liam's voice sounds pretty good here
Hell no gas panic is way better. Good song though

A masterpiece of a song. Fantastic. Oasis will outlive the test of time.
Great voice, such a lovely days they were......
I love the keyboard on this song, just pure brilliance, maybe one of their best songs ever in my opinion!!
Man i love the Drums at the start of this song....and the intro bass line that Noel calls for.....epic
From the first time I heard it and still today the part "Is it any wonder why Princes and Kings" turns the song in something magical.
Which band can hope to sound and like this cool nowadays? Oasis were the last of their kind.
This is the sound of a band that's completely "ON IT!!!!!!!"
Agree! But what's up with the crowd. Standing so still it's like music isn't being played. 😱
That bass line is :O
Great song, defintely one of their best & Liam on fine form too. wish I'd seen em live around that era.
Holy shit. From certain angles he looks exactly like Lennon.
No he actually look like John’s first son Julian in the 80s
like the thumbnail
Liam's voice is incredible here, easily the best live performance of 'GLIO', his voice was so good 1997-2002

The way it builts up. Like a storm. Like a mountain.
Andy Bell doing amazing job on the bass...even more so as he is normally lead guitarist of 90s (and reformed since 2014) Ride.

Thanks to this song I know what the word precocious means
i love this band
LIAM always will be a Badass..
just like on CD. Oasis forever!
Liam looks and acts like john lennon
You do know that Liam is the reincarnation of Lennon. Even though Lennon died in 1980 and Liam was born in 1972. LOL
katoness he is but there's only one John Lennon mate!!!!!
KATONESS just liam believed thata in the past ... WHAT THE HELL ARE U SMOKING!!!???
Acts like John Lennon? He's fuckin' John Lennon!
HE`S NOT!!
i love the part when LG says ''ooohhh!'' at 1:50 ! fucking cool
Totally thought the "Sister Psychosis" line was "Cystic Fibrosis" at first tbh
Wish this outro was part of the studio recording, such a sick tune to drive to
Seen um live in Heaton park best band ever for me
Mint mint can't wait for reunion
looks like john lennon, they have a good sound

Liam aka John Lennon
noel macca

the drum track that is used in the intro and through some parts of the song is the only pre recorded thing...

That bass tune is big!
What a great version, this is better than the single
MAD FER IT SUN!!!!!!!!!!
So are they to me, dude, well said!
@Eezaspanner "Pick Up The Bass" is a good possibility. If nothing else, it's definitely not a 3 syllable phrase like "Feel The Bass".
such raw noisy sound ever by oasis ❤
@jonnytheoasisfan agreed, turn em up!
#Legend 🇨🇦
Esplendor. Me quedo sin palabras.
Fucking great!!!
Dont let it innnnnAAA
@plasticbudgie He does slightly resemble the 1968 "apple period" of Lennon's life; particularly when he and McCartney were interviewed by Larry Kane.
this song fucking rocks
This is the real britpop!
would you be open to applying this to non oasis songs? so intersting!
I came here to clean my ears from NGHFB cover from Go Let It Out

They became more like the Beatles the bigger they got especially Liam who started thinking he was John Lennon especially here

Fer Abra Oasis were just never the same after Bonehead and Guigsy left...
The thumbnail looks like Lennon
They peak here
Good old days when Liam could still reach F#.
What type of sunglasses are those
If the Beatles had wrote and sung By oasis songs then all the people that say they aren't good songs would be saying they are masterpieces......which the song already are.
Nobody came close to these guys when they were in their prime.
At theryre best
When Liam Gallagher is on his game this band is untouchable
@popplagith lolage that is true
Viva La France..
He looks like John Lennon on the thumbnail
I mean he even somehow has a pointy nose aswell

liam 💕
What sunglasses is he wearing? I want a pair.
Thought it was a click bait pic on video.... Nope... Wow.
what year is this?
@noelshighflyingbirds He went very inconsistent after then but how can you say he sounds bad here? I'd kill to sing like that.
I'm just here for Noel. Oh Noel...
