You are really great. I bought some 1/16 silicon tubing and tried this our. I used a propane lighter for heat. This worked out and put the two pieces of PLA together. Thanks for you great idea.
Hey Donald, thank you for your very nice comment. I’m glad you found it helpful. This is worked great for me every single time with no issues and then when I print with it, I haven’t had any issues with the pieces coming apart. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.
You bring joy to my heart. Have you ever made catheters?
Thank you for your kind comment. No I have never made catheters but using filaments has been pretty fun. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.
i wonder what is the shortest length of tubing that is sufficient?
First I must ask are you, Norm Hunstad? Secondly, I think about 1 inch is probably necessary maybe a bit more I’m not sure 1 inch seems to work OK.
Unfortunately didn't work for me😕
I understand your frustration. It does take a little practice. Be sure you really have both ends, melted and then hold those together with your fingertips. Keeping them to together so that there’s no gap it will work. Give it another try. Thanks consider subscribing. Take care, Joe.
Also, be sure that the silicone tubing is 1/16 inch inside diameter of the filament needs to be pretty tight in there
I’m actually printing with fused filament right now
I have the silicone that you linked into. OR RN here.😀
@@macombiam fantastic I think it should work well for you take care Joe
